Got a bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket, so have been looking at high end road bikes to treat myself as we head towards the summer, any suggestions would be much appreciated. Had a look at these and they look the business https://www.orrobikes.com/bikes/road but open to suggestions! :2thumb::2thumb:

Monstrous from Phil Gil. But am I the only one who feels robbed? Those final Kms were going to be awesome until the crash.

Yeah. Stick Sagan back in that chase group and give em the few seconds lost in the crash and that finale would have been a thriller...

Watching PR '16 on Eurosport right now. Cannae wait for this weekend. Early Saturday train to Lille. Going to watch some bikes on the Sunday. Packed a jacket to hang over the barrier.

It'll be great news for my fantasy team if you manage to take out Sagan.

Paris Roubaix in the flesh is incredible. GVA is a beast. Waiting for a Eurostar back with Dave Brailsford tested my collection of Jiffy bag jokes.

Aru out of the Giro? If my fantasy team was a horse they would shoot it.

Seem to be sticking with Fuglsang for Plan A at the Tour, per Vinokourov's comments. If he's fit you'd think they'd want to have him in there though. Depends on how bad the injury is obv, but should still be plenty of time to alter his calendar and get into some sort of shape for it.

If he can't ride the giro I'd imagine it'd eat into training for the tour. Vuelta would be a good bet tho.

In unrelated news, Alaphillipe is out of the classics (lot of big name injuries ATM). Don't know if anyone has him. Good news for my man Wellens.

Is anyone going to beat Quintana in the Giro? Podium predictions?

1. Quintana
2. Pinot
3. Yates

Stealing a bit of Cycling Podcast (I think) opinion, I wonder if Quintana is willing to go quite as deep when he's also got the tour coming up.

I actually fancy Yates to out climb the lot but TTs will ruin him as usual.

I'd expect Nairo to win and I hope he does. Pinot winning would be a good consolation though as I have a fiver each way on him. I'm intrigued to see how he does because he might really shine outside of the tdf pressure and his record in Italian races is ridiculous.

It sounds like some of the big climbs are still pretty damn snowy so I wonder if we might see a mountain stage or two cancelled or cut short.

Seems unlikely to me, surely better to win the Giro even if it costs him in the Tour rather than take it easy and risk winning neither?

Agreed. And does anyone really think like that in race this size - halfway up Blockhaus and feeling good, Pinot struggling to the hold the wheel... "I better go steady for some day in July which may or may not arrive" ...?

Well obviously not if everything goes swimmingly. If he was to lose a chunk of time to Pinot in the first TT and Pinot was climbing well, why wouldn't the Tour de France be in his thoughts?

Anyways, Post-lol-berger. Sprint teams need a slap.

The guy yesterday who celebrated the first time they went over the finish line is the highlight of the Giro so far.
