Not sure if we had one for October, but I'm almost certain we didn't do one for November. Anyway, given this is one of the busiest months on the calendar, why not put this up to see how we all think we'll do over the festive period.

Oldham (H) - Draw. Bar a couple of no shows against Port Vale and Mansfield, we've done well at home. Gonna need that continue against a bogey side who we've struggled against since the beginning of time. Tricky game, would take a point.

Exeter (A) - Lose. I'd have said heavy defeat a few weeks ago, but since then, Exeter have had some serious wobbles and.....I'm still saying defeat, only maybe not as heavy. Comfy home win in any case.

Forest Green (A) - Draw. They play a style we enjoy playing against, which isn't physical, isn't in your face and relies on passing football. Should never have lost this fixture 12 months ago. Draw, because everyone else seems to go there and draw, even despite their dip in form.

Lincoln (H) - Lose. Classic game where we come up against a decent side and fall short due to a lack of quality. Hopefully we don't get embarrassed like the last time they visited. Would be delighted with a point, but think we come up short.

Stevenage (H) - Win. Got to predict a win somewhere and I think this might be it. Their away record is pretty pish and whilst they'll want revenge for the defeat we put on them earlier this season, I still think we can come out on top.

So yeah, tough month playing mostly competent and solid teams. Anything less than 3 defeats out of 5(regardless of whether they are wins or not) would do for me. How do you think your side will do in the next few weeks to close out 2018?

I’m confident in saying we are good enough for a play-off challenge and but I’m still unsure about the top three, and I’m sure that will change by the end of December.

We need to start it off well against Notts County, which we usually do but you can never discount the big spenders of the league especially in a derby. FGR and Bury look like the toughest games, 10 points would be great, and a striker in January pls. Honestly 6 points would not surprise me with three 1-1 draws, 1 W 1 L.

We had a great December during our awful season last season.

On paper we have a great chance to repeat this... but this is Vale so we will probably have a crap month now!

Stoke City U21 H - Big game for the Lardies, will Aspin be tempted to save face and go full strength with Saturday off and limit the chances of defeat against the Lardie Kids + Charlie Adam?

Morecambe A - Good Record in recent years scoring 3 on each of our last two visits...
Cheltenham Town H - Scored three against Cheltenham on our last two home games against The Robins. Vale desperate for revenge for one of their worst EFL results last season.
Macclesfield Town A - Improving, a huge away following though maybe to boost Vale's chances?
Grimsby Town H - Poor showing a few weeks back but at home will fancy a win, tricky tie though with Grimsby improving
Oldham Athletic A - Better away than at home... tough nut to crack this one.

I would hope for 9/10 points minimum there but you just dont know with the Vale.

Colchester (H) - Draw
Cheltenham (A) - Win
Northampton (A) - Draw

Trickiest fixtures look to be Newport away and Colchester at home, but think Northampton away will be a bit of a banana skin too given it's a local derby and Northampton seem a bit unpredictable under Curle.

Still, given our form we shouldn't have any real concerns, and I still expect us to be top 2 by the end of December.

I can't see a loss in any of the home games (watch us lose all 3), County are usually a given

FGR and Stevenage will be tricky - certainly correct over the forward in January, though it's kinda obvious

Pretty much expect 3 Home wins and something from the Notts game, anything at Bury is a bonus the way our away form is.
