Dentures.

I'm having all my teeth (what's left of them) extracted tomorrow and I was wondering how long it takes to get used (if ever) to dentures, I've been advised by the dental surgeon to wait for up to 3 months to have the dentures fitted as after a full extraction the gums shrink, I did look into having implants but at my age (75) I couldn't realistically justify the cost.

My pops has had dentures for about 5 years now. He still can't eat spare ribs properly. Sorry.

Same here. I wear my denture for cosmetic purposes only, not for eating. Luckily I only have one tooth missing. I've had three dentures over the years and none of them have fitted properly.

My teeth are fucking terrible - not helped by a dentist I used when living in Ireland. Went with excruciating toothache and the old twat extracted 2 good teeth by mistake. So I now have a 4 tooth gap. Love to get implants but, fuck me, I could get a Porsche instead.

Wifey over the road has got them Dan....my missus is sure that she said they had cost fucking £thousands.... she thinks the wifey said around £20 K. I'd suck custard before I'd pay that to be able to eat pies.

Seen the ads for 'cheap' dental fees in Poland etc but still very expensive. I do get a bit self conscious tbh, but at 62 fuck it - aint gonna pull no more, teeth or not!

Ok. Well here goes. I got most of my teeth yanked out when I was in my early 20's.My teeth were decimated by Meningitis. Enamel gone. I guess no teeth was a fair trade for my life mind. I was tagged for a new type of treatment and type of dentures. They fit like a glove and don't use traditional techniques of dentistry. I'm 44 and my gums haven't shrunk.
I don't know if you still party at the 'Y' my friend but ladies love the licking when you have no gnashers mate. It may be down to the suction but I have had no complaints!
