Is it enforceable? You can watch an incident as many times as you like but it's still subjective.

I see Big Sam is already complaining because he thinks players will be unfairly punished..

Well presume if they are found not to have dived no ban will occur?

Zaha always gets penalised for diving, but I can't remember the last time he actually dived, so I can understand what Allardyce is saying. I reckon we'll see a few players banned for going down under contact.

They should really limit it to players who go down under no contact at all, or players who purposely kick a defenders trailing leg.

Except the Laws of the Game interpretation of simulation also includes exaggerating contact. Some of the most prolific divers are actually defenders, exaggerating contact, going down and getting a free kick.

This is one of the many reasons why this change won't work, just like it hasn't worked in Scotland. It leads to a situation where divers are punished for a yellow card if caught, and a two match ban if not? Meanwhile, they are vilified in the press more than anyone, up to and including those who commit horrendous, dangerous challenges on fellow professionals.

And of course, given the FA is the arbiter, expect utterly bizarre and biased judgments. For example if you are an England international, or even better the England captain, you can get away with anything you like - for example, Rooney elbowing McCarthy in the face, and Shearer kicking Neil Lennon in the head. Will Dele Alli ever be banned for diving? Obviously not. But Johnny Foreigner? Absolutely, and his career probably ruined in the press as well.

Fully expect to see three decisions in August and then never hear about it again

I remember an Arsenal player got a ban for diving against Celtic in the Champions league but because Wenger and co made such a big fuss of it that got overturned.

Can see this going the same way unless its really blatant and clear cut that even a one eyed bias manager has to accept it.
