A nice equine theme for this thread before our day out to the Fylde Coast.

We go into this game after huge back to back wins over Grimsby and Wycombe have pulled us clear of the relegation scrap for now, Blackpool picked up a brilliant 4-1 win against Carlisle at Brunton Park and then suffered an expected defeat to Portsmouth down at Fratton Park.

Really don't know how this game will pan out. The Tangerines haven't won a home league game since late November whilst we haven't won an away game since Leyton Orient in late October. Blackpool also seem to be relatively solid defensively (at least compared to us) so I expect them to be tough to break down. I reckon this is gonna be a 1-1 draw and I'll happily take a point here after the two good wins beforehand.

Worried about how knackered the players looked for a lot of the second half on Tuesday. I think DA was a little lax with his subs and probably be wise to throw in Kiwomya for Saturday to keep things ticking over.

Whilst 3 points is always welcome in our position, after 2 good back to back wins a draw is very much acceptable. Do any fellow Alex fans actually know what the deal is with DA, is he in charge till the end of the season, 2 year deal, 3 year deal, rolling contract, I've not heard a thing!

Tbf only way you'll build fitness is by making them adapt to the rigorous demands of the league schedule. Artell is still learning tactically but I did think myself he should've brought Kiwomya on a lot earlier. Maybe he was more apprehensive about subs due to the loss of Hollands early on in the game and, if that's the case, I can understand that.

Believe the players had a day off after the game (George Ray hinted at it) so they'll be rested and recuperated ready for Blackpool. With two more midweek games to come in the next month being fit could be the difference between still being in this relegation scrap and being comfortably in mid-table!

Bowyer is steadily building a descent side and if the owners ploughed a little more investment into the side would be a good bet for promotion -next year. Hallmarks of a stalemate here 0-0

Reckon our team will see a couple of changes and George Ray as captain if Hollands is one of those out injured.

What a meteoric rise for this lad in 2017. Out in the cold because of nepotism, regains his place, impresses and now could be captain!

Sold 429 pre-sale for this, under Davis we wouldn't have taken anywhere near that I guarantee. Still yet to get my ticket so hopefully there'll be more than a few paying on the day tomorrow!

To be fair he's probably grown up a bit whilst he's been out of the team but his insufferable Roy Cropper days (where he was also an embarrassment of a footballer) will always overshadow the rest.

Blackpool away always brings a few out, took about 700 last season under Davis.

Hadn't played them since 2006-07 and we were in a horrific run of form so that was the minimum we'd have took. With us playing them last season and in a shit time of year guarantee we wouldn't have topped 400 if that clueless yam yam prick was still in charge.

Still be nice to be backed in good numbers though, just remembered Blackpool have Kelvin Mellor so this is a game I'd actually be tempted to start Kiwomya given Mellor defends like a rabbit in headlights.

Now let's crack on and lose it in the 93rd minute.

We would have got nothing from this under Davis, but now we have some fight and actually look to score goals. 9 goals, and 7 points in 7 days was unthinkable a few weeks back.

Took Davis' teams 14 games to score 9 goals.
