Did this on TFF last year in the L1 section, and did a league prediction thread before the transfer window opened, and then did one the week before the season started, and seen how it compared.

For me -

1 - QPR
2 - Hull
3 - Bristol City
4 - Wolves
5 - PNE
6 - Middlesborough
7 - Cardiff
8 - Fulham
9 - Derby
10 - Burnley
11 - MK Dons
12 - Leeds
13 - Brentford
14 - Ipswich
15 - Birmingham
16 - Blackburn
17 - Brighton
18 - Reading
19 - Bolton
20 - Sheffield Wednesday
21 - Nott'm Forest
22 - Charlton
23 - Huddersfield
24 - Rotherham

Expecting Grayson and Robinson to be given some cash to play with which is why they're that high, however loanees played a big part in getting each up, if they can't replace them we could easily see all the teams from 23 shift up 2 imo.

Can't see you going down BCS nor Blackburn doing that well, expect a fire sale there this summer.

Well, arm we have no hope of staying up. Hopefully it will change when we make a few signings. You make a good point about Blackburn though, if they hold on to Rhodes et al they could do ok.

Interesting to see a few people have us down as relegation candidates again next season, I think we showed enough under Luzon that we have a good squad there.

Far too early to be making predictions but gut feelings right now would be:

Top 2

Middlesbrough
QPR (if they go unpunished and just do what they want)

Play-offs

Wolves
Ipswich
Blackburn
Hull

Relegated

Rotherham
Mk Dons
Brighton

We might as well not bother this year by the looks of it. What are the reasons for everybody tipping us to finish rock bottom? I'm pretty sure people inside the game won't see it that way. We are all hoping for a top 12-16 position for the coming Season!

Rhodes is as good as gone to fair, they need to keep Gestede and Bowyer is such a dull manager.

I think it's only natural for people to tip the side that only just stayed up to go down the following season.

Doesn't mean you will.

It obviously depends on the signings made this summer for you lot, you, like us, need goals, that strike force you have won't keep you up IMHO, losing Pringle is also a blow as he fits into your team perfectly, I don't think you'll go down but it will be another battle, of course that's just my humble opinion.

I'm not going to make any predictions now, but I think most people are hugely overrating the teams coming down from the Premier League (especially QPR). It's not that common for teams to bounce straight back up, plenty of them end up mid-table.

Why are people predicting Bolton to go down???

I'd say Blackburn have more chance

Aside from a good 2 month spell after Lennon was appointed they were pretty poor. Ended the season dreadfully.

Like the other clubs with transfer embargoes, they'll do worse than last season. Problem with Bolton is that doing worse is pretty much bottom 3.

Hard prediction to make it this - and I'll look back on this next year and feel stupid, but I'll have a more educated guess before the season start school, but for now:

1 - Hull
2 - Derby
--------------------------
3 - Middlesbrough
4 - Birmingham
5 - Brighton
6 - Wolves
--------------------------
7 - Bristol City
8 - Leeds
9 - Ipswich
10 - Forest
11 - Sheffield Wednesday
12 - Cardiff
13 - Brentford
14 - Fulham
15 - Reading
16 - Burnley
17 - PNE
18 - Blackburn
19 - Charlton
21 - Bolton
--------------------------
22 - MK Dons
23 - Huddersfield
24 - Rotherham

What makes you think you will so certainly finish above us both?

Did you say the same when Wolves and Brentford came up, and then went onto finish above you?

I'm not sure if you remember - but last time we came up, we made the PO final the first year. Now I'm most certainly not suggesting a repeat of that, but I'm pretty sure we'll be floating around the top half, and I'm happy to stand by that comment and be quoted come the end of next season.

Because apparently our chairman is chucking money at it and we were a goalscorer away from being a top eight side last year, despite it being utterly shit.

I think you'll do fine but cannot see you, or Preston, troubling the top six or top half based on your current squads, truth be told there isn't a single player in either squad i'd have at S6.
