How are we not winning at halftime against a team called Zorya?

Dundalk 1-0 Maccabi!

Their first home goal in Europe excluding qualifiers since v Liverpool in 1982!

Hope they hold out for the win.

Hardly convincing performance mate, especially with all the talent on show.
I had to wiki Zorya because never heard of them before

I can't argue with that really - we did dominate the game but so we should against a side like that!

I hope United go further in this competition. They will be properly smashed once they reach the stage where they meet half decent opposition :D

Unlike Dundalk, who will win it all and beat Real in the 2017/18 CL final, 6-1. You heard it here first.

Both games involving English teams were terrible. Utd had only had 2 attempts on target against a pub side from whichever country they come from, and one of those was the header from a foot and a half away after that 'great' assist.

Me, neither. But I couldn't be arsed even to "wiki", sounded East European to me that was all I needed to know for ....not watching the match. Because those matches against East Europeans are mostly a pain in the arse to watch for me. So I decided not to watch it but reading through your posts I noticed that there was a "great assist"? :D

Decent night on Thursday for British sides, Southampton got a good point in Israel while Manchester United beat Zorya of Ukraine in a poor game, gets them up and running in their group. Dundalk also got a historic win against Maccabi Tel-Aviv, and that now puts the Irish side on 4 points from 2 games, what's the chances of them making the last 32?

Fenerbache 1-0 Feyenoord
Manchester United 1-0 Zorya Luhansk

Astana 0-0 Young Boys
Olympiakos 0-1 Apoel Nicosia

Qabala 2-3 Mainz
Saint-Etienne 1-1 Anderlecht

Dundalk 1-0 Maccabi Tel-Aviv
Zenit St Petersburg 5-0 AZ Alkmaar

Austria Vienna 0-0 Plzen
Roma 4-0 Astra

Athletic Bilbao 1-0 Rapid Vienna
Genk 3-1 Sassuolo

Ajax 1-0 Standard Liege
Celta Vigo 2-0 Panathanikos

Gent 2-0 Konyaspor
Shaktar Donetsk 2-0 Braga

Schalke 3-1 Red Bull Salzburg
Krasnodar 5-2 Nice

So disappointed that we've lost to a wank side but you have to take your chances. Didn't see much wrong with our goal but I've only seen the replay once.

For all the credit VVD gets, he was poor today. At fault for their goal and then misses another Europa sitter.

Nice pass to Mata which lead to the pen, guessing it was Carrick but I only caught it mid-flight.

Good pen from Pogba, shame about the run up.

Excellent Pogba goal, lovely touch and pass from Lingard to set it up. Good work from Rooney, too.

Good to see Carrick has still got it, games like that at OT are perfect for him, his range of passing and how he gets the ball forward quickly allows us to control the game and gives other players more freedom.
