Bournemouth V Everton

The non corrupt referees committee appointed for the game are..............drum roll

Evertons favourite ref - Martin Atkinson ( league cup semi final allowed Sterling to cross from row 7 of colin bell stand)

and just to rub it in his assistant is

Michael Mullarkey the linesman who missed John Terry's 5 yard offside equalizing goal in the 135 minute of injury time

Now tell me football isn't rigged?

I predict we're going to make 8 changes for this massive Cup tie, screened live around the country and the world for viewers delectation.

It would be 11 changes, but you know - magic of the Cup and all that.

If the rest of this season is anything to go by, I don't think Johnny has much to worry about regarding referee's overly favouring Bournemouth!

And I am sure Martinez will pop up with a comment or two just to put pressure on the officials before the game...

Think will be contested by Arsenal or Chelsea. I can see us (PSG) knocking Chelsea out and they'll only have the FA Cup to play for. I can see them knocking out Man City (because they're rubbish) and Arsenal will get decent opposition in the semis perhaps (they'll probably get draw against Manchester United in the quarters - if they don't fuck up at Shrewsbury that is) but it's hardly their fault that Prem sides don't give a shit about this comp.
I wouldn't discount Everton doing something big either. I can see them winning today and there'll remain quite a few winnable sides in the quarters (Reading/West Brom, Watford). Oh and Spurs. A nice Arsenal/Spurs semi-final/final would add some juice to the title race.

So it's Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton or Spurs.

Considering we've changed the team and Everton are unchanged, pretty pleased with the first half. Was rather hoping Everton would also make changes, but i guess Martinez cant afford to lose this? Obviously gutted to have the pen saved, really should be going in ahead. But a good shape about us that has kept Lukaku deep or wide and away from danger.

Need a touch more life in the Everton half, but it's always going to be about keeping a shape and breaking with pace, so not surprising that we look light up front.

Interesting second half ahead

Fine margins...Penalty, embarrassing miss from Gosling from point blank range. Ritchie putting a chance he often buries over the bar. Instead Barkley gets a fortuitous deflection on his first worthwhile contribution to the game, and when Everton get a sitter from close range they aren't gonna miss.

Somewhat experimental side with some interesting pluses from Iturbe, MacDonald, hell even Distin did alright. But not quite good enough from that side. Makes you wonder what a more recognised side might have done, but there we go.

No late drama this time..good luck in the quarters Everton. Onto the primary objective for us.

You think Iturbe might get a start in the league now?

Not sure on Iturbe, because as you saw today he was brilliant for 45 mins, but disappeared after. He doesn't look up to full games of crazy fast English football, so he might continue as an impact sub.

Although I wouldn't mind seeing him start and replaced on 50-60 mins, because it's easier for him to get into the flow from the start when scores are level, rather than trying to get into the pace of the game on 70 mins and perhaps save a game that we might be behind.

Good draw. Home to Palace in the quarter final. Glad to have avoided Arsenal and Chelsea.

No pressure if it's Arsenal but better chance against Hull...

Other ties are interesting - no clear advantage.

I remember when Pardew first came back here with West Ham and that big 'Judas' banner adorned the back of the East Stand. Would be great to dust that off again.

Comfortable win really Barkley was very very good again. Good to get revenge for the draw in league.

Repeat of 1984 final for me.

Everton v Watford.

Good performance from West Ham yesterday, Payet is unbelievably good and I fancy them to make it to the final.

Chelsea looked back to their best yesterday but it's hard to judge against such a young City side tough draw for them in the quarters. Think Palace have a really tough draw at Reading in all fairness they seem to be massively raising their game for the cup.

The Shammers at home in the quarter final, definitely makes our route to the semi-final tough that one. :P1:

Comfortable for Manchester United in the end last night, under no real threat from Shrewsbury. Takes a little bit of pressure off LVG but it could all be piled on and more if they crash out of the Europa League on Thursday night.

From Twitter.

Date for #EmiratesFACup replay between @HullCity and @Arsenal confirmed for Tuesday 8th March at 7pm

Its at 7 so there isn't such a clash with the Champions league games.

Arsenal had a situation like this a few years back when they beat Bolton in a replay on the Tuesday/Wednesday then lost to Blackburn in the quarters 3 days later.

I bet the Brentford fans who had bought tickets and booked train tickets/hotels for their league game with Hull that was meant to be played on that day are delighted their game has been moved and now will be rearranged.
