What a load of shite that was by both teams. Utter dross. As expected from ourselves, 7 in 7 in the 3rd.

Good luck in the fourth round Lincoln, as a local lad since a young'un I wish you well!

Utter shite from Lincoln? Give credit where it's due; we played your lot off the park and should have won by a few.

Should have been more accurate:- utter shite in the final third. It really was piss poor from both aside from a stunning Gerken save before HT. Your build up play, tempo & pressing was excellent.

As I said, I have a soft spot for Lincoln and I hope to see you get past Brighton in the fourth.

Great results, two late winners, and Sutton even added insurance. Congrats to both teams. Great to see that Sutton will indeed get on TV now.

Either club dare to dream that they can go one more?...

Football? Bloody hell.

Gutted to miss tonight, but proud of our squad and made up for everyone who has done so much for our club. It's a massive day and an exciting time

That pass for the Lincoln goal eh? Yowser. Glad they've finally got their act together.

Leeds and Brighton are pushing for promotion - will they have half an eye on the league I wonder?

I know Lincoln are top of the National league too but they are the home side so slightly easier.

I watched the game at home with another Rovers fan, we both cheered when Lincoln scored...unlike the game at our place a few weeks ago...to be fair, they thoroughly deserved both victories. Oh, and well done Sutton. Good luck to both of you in the next round.

Arnold's goal tonight was proper deja vu of the play-off final so I was very pleased. Well done Lincoln!

I really need to sleep because I'm up at 4.30am-ish, but I can't not mention Arnold's run from a defensive position in the 90th minute and Marriott's perfectly weighted and timed pass. Lovely.

Great win Imps, fully deserved. We're claiming full credit for that goal, fully made in Cambridge. ;-)

Best of luck v Brighton. Also best of luck to Sutton against our conquerors Leeds.

Marriott is an amazing player, so skilful with amazing football brain and feet to match. Knew Arnold would score, another class act in the side.
Just an amazing night! Now to try and get tickets for the Brighton! game!

Lincoln are a damn good side tbf. Hard not to enjoy their winner, scenes.
Seem to be building UNSTOPPABLE MOMENTUM.

Well played Sutton as well, 4th round v Leeds should be brilliant, finally on the box as well. Top stuff.

Agreed. While Tranmere and FGR scramble over each other to mess it up, Lincoln seem to be going from strength to strength.

Plenty of twists and turns yet to come, mind...

I was covering the Barnsley v Blackpool game and erupted in the Oakwell press box when I found out about our last minute goal.

I then had a nightmare journey home and I'm still wide awake in bed, replaying that lovely goal over and over again.

Watched 89 minutes of that game in the pub, but missed the goal as I was out back having a fag getting ready for extra time! Serves me right, I guess. Will have to watch that goal later! Delighted for Lincoln.

Well done to Sutton also. Second club to now get promoted ahead of us and have a nice cup run after Dover getting to round three in 14/15 (?) And having a game with Palace at home.

Well played Imps. Lovely goal and well deserved on balance of play. Ipswich looked awful.

Now my jealousy has subsided I hope Lincoln carry on to go up as Champions. That would also mean that one of moneybags Tranmere and FGR miss out. Forest Green are too tinpot for league football and Tranmere fans are still far too smug and need a few years down here to wipe that Charlie big bananas attitude away.

Lincoln went for it in the summer but that's no problem because proper clubs are allowed to do that under the rules of the Natural Order.

Great results for Lincoln and Sutton, both well-deserved wins. Difficult ties coming up, but replays wouldn't be a surprise.

I agree with EnglishRed that Lincoln likely to regain their Football League status. It's unlikely Rovers will, but fairly optimistic about next season, if that counts as being smug? Presumably ER is hoping for a good run from your fellow Welsh side at the Deva to propel them back into the league?

For us we did go for it in the summer, getting the Cowleys in was part of the Clive Nates master plan and he did help us by the tune of around 100k extra into the transfer fund. It's still a lot less than the likes of Tranmere, FGR, Eastleigh, York?

Tranmere generate their money don't they. They're only down here because of the Johnson factor, whereas FGR are up there beacause of Swampy, no other reason.

Very well done Lincoln and a crowd of over 9,000. I still can't believe we did the double over you 2 seasons ago.

BTW what is your budget? Someone on Deva Chat has said it's £500K, but wasn't it that high before your windfalls. I'm guessing it's nearer £750K. Good luck in the future and cut the diving out .. you don't need to do it.

Congrats to both of you, hope at least one of you joins the small group of non-league sides to make the last 16 (and tbh Crawley are tinpot so they don't really count)

Yeah, probably about there.

Certainly don't have anyone putting in £300k a season into the budget like was said on Deva Chat not long back! Tbf, we've been quite lucky really in that the initial investment to get the Cowleys has brought in more money in terms of attendances, player sale, cup runs etc. Couldn't have gone any better up to now really.

Rumour is that we're in with a chance of the Monday night slot against Brighton, if they choose to have one, which is £144k. Plus another sell-out, that'd take our cup earnings to well over £500k this season, which would be incredible considering that was our budget a couple of seasons ago.

Shame home fans couldn't have had the couple of empty blocks in the SW.

Fucking love the Cowley's. As I mentioned in another thread as soon as they got appointed at Lincoln I knew they were going up. They are going places. Will be the hottest management property in EFL soon. Smart play from Lincoln to award new contracts. COMPPPP ££$$$
