Guy's lost his job, I don't see any happy ending here.

Dodgy fat c*** of a man gets his comeuppance. Very happy ending imo.

He made his club and the league look bad, by playing up to a stereotype for the sake of a few extra quid. Disgrace.

Also, that pastry-based product had meat in; wouldn't be allowed to happen at FGR.

Well, I hope it never happens to you lot.

Sick of this now. Wished we drawn bloody Millwall or Huddersfield away now. Utter turdgate this has all turned into. Roll on Saturday

(No disrespect meant to either Millwall or Huddersfield but less publicity)

While I'm no admirer of the Sun, the people in charge of the paper at that time who allowed Kelvin McKenzie to publish those false articles about Liverpool fans, have had a major involvement in Sky for a long time. Yet no Liverpool FC or Merseyside protests or boycott regarding Sky. Without such, the other protests ring a little hollow to me.

People are free to bring in and eat whatever they like. They just can't buy any meat products inside the ground. I regularly bring a steak and kidney pie along with me.

It wont. Most people aren't that thick.

I will never lose my job for being involved in dodgy betting over me being a greedy fucker and eating a pie on tv, and I doubt many other people will either.

Surely though a pie without the meat is just a pastry though?

(Have the FGR vegan jokes been done already?)

I'm not vegan. Never have been, never will be.

Whilst I think he was a bit of a div, I think it's sad Shaw has lost his job over this.

Shame, because it sounds like we were nothing like our usual selves. Would've been like Ipswich watching us away at Guiseley.

The Sun should be ashamed of themselves, they won't be of course.
All their nonsense in the name of constructed banter has cost someone his job.
Obviously Wayne Shaw shouldn't have risen to it - but I can't help but think that they've exploited a non league club as well as a naive man and ended up making our league look like a load of tinpot rubbish.

I'm glad that with our Evertonian director the Sun won't be allowed anywhere near our club.

My best mate (also a Lincoln fan) has a big night do for his 30th on QF day. Not sure how I'm going to break it to him...

Don't think it'd be wise for him not to turn up to his own party!
Oh dear.

Just the day and time he didn't want it!

Given that the sun were sponsoring Sutton and they were offering 8/1 on it happening it wouldnt suprise me if they paid him or the club to eat that pie/pasty as a publicity stunt.

8/1? They missed a trick, should have offered 3.14/1
