Not sure whats happening there but their recent signings have left a lot to be desired started well and were my pre season tip but it seems to be falling apart.

Gainsbrough benefiting from dropping a division and winning games on a consistent basis I think.
Craig Elliott just seems to slag the players off every week, so it's not wonder they're not performing for him.

Arnold in particular needs an arm around him, for example, yet he was taken off at HT at the weekend then in in his post match interview was laying into his senior players without naming names but made it perfectly clear who they were.

Trinity have some good strikers for that level so no surprise they're doing well.

After the farce of the release the draw finally a local derby in the FA Cup away at Mickleover Sports. Very winnable.

Watch us go and make a dogs dinner of the replay tomorrow...

Can't believe Phoenix Sports are still in this. Place wasn't much more than a park's pitch and a clubhouse when I lived there o_O

Well, I don’t think they will be for much longer as they admitted to fielding an ineligible player in their win against Lancing in the previous round!

I'd rather it be Wantage for a vast number of reasons but Hungerford should do the job in a replay of the original tie tomorrow night.

Sad that my little local team Hanwell Town have a tough game away to Leatherhead. They’ve done great so far but reckon thy will be one step too much for them.

Alfreton 3 Sutton Coldfield 0

Three spectacular goals see off a spirited Sutton Coldfield who can hold their heads up high.

An stunning half volley on the turn from Declan Bacon, a 30 yard screamer from Jordan Sinott and a thunderbolt from outside the area from Bacon again that almost ripped the net seal the game. Three very special goals. Bacon seems to have the midas touch at the moment.

9k banked and on to the next round and a very short trip over to Mickleover Sports looking forward to it.

Cracking result for Sudbury. Resisted the temptation to go there tonight, but would have seen a great game had I done so by the sounds of it.

Crappy draw at Haringey Borough in the next round, mind.

From a torquay point of view travel wise egham would have been better but now just about the longest trip we could have. Fortunately I cannot do that weekend

Apparently the player involved should have been serving a one match ban. From the FA the matter is subject to investigation.

Stourbridge have said our game with them will be segregated and won't be all ticket. :ffs: Unfortunately, we have idiots who turn up to games like this to cause trouble. Hopefully, it doesn't happen but would've made more sense to just make the game all ticket.

We sure did.

Agreed, hopefully, we will be a lot more stable after the manager comes in for the next round. Be a very tough game though.

Doesn't make any sense that like, it's like making the game all ticket and not segregating. If I remember correctly when i made the trip to the War Memorial Ground it's a weird three-sided at Stourbridge? That's going back a few season's.

Yeah, it's three-sided as they share with the cricket team. But as it's the end of the cricket season wouldn't be surprised if they open that side to get some more fans in.

Good point i think they'll have come up with something, however, how on earth they'll cope with a large crowd should be interesting? It's a very compact ground. Parking near the place is rubbish, as well as tiptoeing to avoid disturbing the neighbours. What a kerfuffle.

Marc Richards record against Welling is played 2, lost 2, conceded 4 by the way.

A stat that's no doubt bound to curse things:

Only 2 sides have made the 1st round without being in the league in each of the last 3 seasons;
Boreham & Maidstone

And to make that factoid more interesting, Boreham are the last team to knock us out in the qualifying rounds
