Well done Barnet, those 2 lads up front looked lively for you. Could of won more comfortably too.

It's unfortunate that you'll end up playing Newport away in the fourth round...

Great result, but that highlighted bit should probably go in the tinpot thread.

We haven’t beaten that many League teams in FA Cup ties. Before 06/07, we’d only ever beaten Northampton Town and the old Newport County in the FA Cup. In our first spell in the Football League between 1991 and 2001 we didn’t beat a single FL team in the Cup!

Our FA Cup record over the past 30 years or so must be up there with the worst.

That said, this is now three times we've reached Round 4 in the last 15 years and we also (jointly?) hold the record for an away win by a non-league team at a FL team (6-1 at Newport County) :dk:

2 well worked set plays wasn't it for the goals?

These days you have players on north of 100k a week who cannot beat the first man at most of them!

The Newport County victory was at Underhill although we did beat them 7-1 at Somerton Park in 88/89!

Brentford at home. Local derby - Bees vs Bees! Could’ve been worse but a bit long a let down when the final 7 teams have Arsenal United and Spurs in!

People’s perceptions of our draw are really coloured by who was left in the bowl when our number came up. If we and Brentford had been paired earlier the reaction would have been much more positive. At least we were not Newport, Gillingham or Oldham!

Good that we are at home but I’ve seen us play Brentford maybe 10 times so this really is a terrible damp squib of a draw.

We again have little chance of progressing, it won’t be on tv, doubt it will sell out and there’s no glamour to this tie at all. It’s on a par with both our last 4th Round draws.

Sadly.

Barnet v Brentford will sell out no doubt. Despite the initial doom and gloom, it’s a London Derby in the 4th round of the cup...

Our game really should be one of the televised games, and if it is, then it's a good draw. Decent home crowd and TV money in the bank.

I think it could be a featured one but there is some other good ties in there too. Not a terrible draw and definitely winnable if you can win at Brammall Lane

How many games will be on TV? Plenty of decent games to choose from but I think the most likely will be;

Arsenal v United
Palace v Spurs
Wimbledon v West Ham
Accrington v Derby / Southampton
Shrews/Stoke v Wolves
Millwall v Everton

Non-league club, London derby, Bees v Bees does have an attraction so I hope that’s enough to get us on purely for the £££

How long does it usually take to announce these things?

Looks like we've almost sold out the home end. I think this could be a record attendance for the Hive.

The Fake Bees' fans on their forum are totally confident of selling out their allocation and I don't see why not. On that basis, there's no reason why the crowd at the Hive for our meetup won't be over 6,000. It might even end up being our largest crowd for a competitive match since we played QPR in an FA Cup replay in 1973. We have had two 6,000+ crowds in competitive matches since then (6209 vs Portsmouth 1990/91 FA Cup 3rd round and 6001 vs Wycombe Wanderers 2012/13 our last match at Underhill).

I don't think we will go over 6,000. It sounds to me like the first three rows of the away end aren't being sold due to safety fears and the segregation in the West will knock another 100 off the capacity.

Crowd will be over 5,000 but perhaps not a complete sell out. Still, it's on tv and we will be in the draw for Round 5 for the first time ever. The disappointment of the draw has subsided and I'm now really looking forward to the game!

It would be great for confidence if we could avoid defeat at Braintree on Saturday so that DC goes into this game unbeaten as caretaker boss...

Not bad for the 19th biggest club in the National League.

I suspect we might rocket up the attendance table to about 16th now that John Still has gone.

We've also still got your 2,000 away fans to accomodate whenever it is that you visit, so the giddy heights of 15th is well within our sights!

Lol, if you have to dive to beat a side three leagues below you then that’s sad.
