Lincoln not getting through could have saved quite a bit of potential trouble at Wembley as Cleethorpes Town have made it to Wembley on the same day in the FA Vase final and I would expect a lot of Grimsby fans will be heading down to cheer them on, and there is no way that there would be no trouble with Lincoln and Grimsby fans mingling together.

Congratulations to Macclesfield and York by the way.

Omg.
That will be the 6th time seen York at Wembley.
5 times since 2009.
Lincoln had most of ball but didn't create chances.York defended brilliantly.
Nice to get one over Cowleys brother whatever he is called for cheating and trying influence refs all the time?
Good luck in promotion though you deserve it

Had Lincoln made the final I imagine there would have been several thousand Grimsby fans supporting Cleethorpes and whoever Lincoln were facing, so factor in 15/20,000 each from Lincoln and Tranmere, a good number of friendly day tripping Geordies and I could have seen well over 50k there.

Not to be. Our weakness is against the big, physical sides, which is ironic really when people complain that we are a big, physical side. We've lost twice now to Barrow and struggled against a very un-Mills-like York whose mission today seemed to be to spoil and delay. It worked. Well done York. The Cowleys have had enough chances to work out how to deal with you, and have come up short once again.

So they ref said no pen straight away and it was right in front of him and is then changes his mind after the lino gives it! We were poor lots of the ball but not a clue what to do with it.
The Cowleys need to now prove if they are the real deal and get us back on track for the title.

Still top with three games in hand, you can't fault them for not picking up points when you don't play. You're massive favourites barring disaster.

York fans will be unhappy to win the Trophy and end up in Conference North as seems likely

Something about concentrating on the League. I think I'd rather we had gone out in the first round.

The Lincoln v York tie is a lot closer then it looks on paper imo. York have been improving, have some quality players and recently drew at SB. If Lincoln play a weakened team then I can actually see York going through.

I would say York @ 3/1 to qualify is decent value, and even 8/1 in the outrights is possibly pretty good value too.

We don't have a "weakened" team. Fallacy.

No excuses - we weren't good enough.

As brilliant as Danny and Nicky have been, their team selection for the first leg was a huge error.

I was right. Should have bet on York

Lincoln out of 2 competitions inside a week and 1 win in the last 6 games. Implosion?

Yep, no excuses here. Pacified by the fact we could potentially put ourselves out of sight in the coming weeks.

Wasn't sure you'd be as up for a trophy game as York, or that your second string would beat them over two legs. They're no mugs.

No arguing about you're league form though. you're already pretty much out of sight, barring a collapse. Next weeks game isn't going to change anything about that.

It's a bit more worrying from a Rovers perspective, when the team selection for Rovers game at Torquay and Macc clearly suggests we were concentrating on the Trophy. Not quite sure the reasoning, but Macc outplayed what was seemingly our strongest available line up.

At least the Imps have always been concentrating on the League...

Well, it may not be the fashionable thing to say but I'm genuinely gutted to be out of the FA Trophy. No sour grapes from me, although Macc's goal yesterday was clear handball, they were better than us over the two legs. Good luck in the final.

Must be nice to have gracious fans.

Ignore them mate, the vast majority of Lincoln fans will want York to stay up.
