we are staying in dagenham for a long blokes weekend 16-19 wheres decent for food drinks exc please guys, dont wanna get stung heading up west every night.

Don't go to Barking.. (although I'd have said that before this weekend)

I quite like Hornchurch for a night out. Solid choice of restaurants and bars. Romford is very chavvy but it has clubs if that's what you want.

That's the one mate! In my mind you were going to Dagenham for a holiday and I was questioning your sanity! Perfectly valid reason, should be a great one. Enjoy.

Come a couple of miles west. The drinking scenes in Leyton, Leytonstone, Walthamstow or even Hackney are all vastly superior to the dregs on offer in 'Nam. If you simply must go out and sample the epicurean delights of The Heathway, then head for Me An' O'Briens. Fantastic chance of a row, but the landlord's missus is Orient so she'll probably stop you from getting glassed if you mention me.

Hornchurch is an older crowd with lots of decent pubs and restaurants. Firkin pub sometimes has live bands. Stay away from Romford complete shithole, as is Dagenham.

Crikey I see what you mean lads we went to McDonald's in Dagenham after the gig last night within 10 minutes 2 lads had booted off on our mate then pretended they were joking when we came over , someone else was booting off cos his burger was wrong , someone else cos the asst wouldn't stop serving the person he was helping at the time to add a cheeseburger to his order and a taxi driver was arguing with a passenger cos he took too long in makkie d s .

Other then that a throughly enjoyable few days
