Finished the WL 26-14. Boom. Frustrating as I think if I had focused more and not chucked in silly goals I could have got Elite 3

Still, well on course for Elite monthly.

This is the team I'm trying to build for the weekend. I'm short on coins for Perisic by about 100,000. Pray for me that my rewards push me over the line...

In a way I'm a little happy that PS doesn't have legends because I'd have reason to be really annoyed that the fact Gianfranco Zola only fucking has 3 star skills. Seeing as I'd build my team around him and he should easily be 4star minimum if not 5.

I had a change of plan... Baresi is dreadful, couldn't compete in the air whatsoever... Got relegated to D2 and was playing dreadful, team didn't click.

So I changed to this:

Sold Hazard also, for the coins... he wasn't worth it when I could get Higuain, Koulibaly, Gomez, Lewandowski and half of Dybala for the price. Mainly decided to go back to players I've used a fair amount and players I'm comfortable with - bar Dybala who I've only used his NIF, but I really liked.

Finished the remainder of my D2 games and got promoted.

Went to play one game in D1... Ended up doing a whole season in a sitting aided by four rage quits:

Had a cheeky one before work. My first game. Fuck me.

4-2-3-1 v 4-2-3-1

Dreadful first half, neither of us have any real chances until:
45 minutes he goes 1-0 up.
I make a half time change to 4-3-1-2 to counter his 4-2-3-1
62 minutes 1-1.
77 minutes 2-1 to me.
He changes to 4-2-3-1 wide to counter my narrow
84 minutes 2-2.
Full time - I change to up my pressure to 75 and speed to 90.
93 minutes - 3-2 to me.
He changes something, not entirely sure what - I revert to my default CT for 4-3-1-2.
101 minutes - 3-3
108 minutes - 4-3 to him
Change back to my attacking CT, player instructions for midfield Martial to get forward always
110 minutes - 4-4
120 minutes - last kick of the game, his Movember Hahn bullies my defence to pieces, 5-4 to him and that's the game. I'm pretty sure at this point both of us are on ultra attacking - defending wasn't working in extra time!

Naturally after that we had a couple of messages, turns out he's an Elite 1 player (first game I could have anyone, it gives me him) so I can't be too disappointed with that. If every WL game is like that I'm going to have me a heart attack.

In hindsight I should have gone 4-3-3 defensive at 2-1, but oh well, it was a great game in the end.

Yeah think I'll struggle to get my WL done this week. Servers are always terrible all Friday and then early Saturday. I'm actually off out Saturday evening and I'll probably be hungover Sunday

I've started bringing on Koulibaly as a sub to hold out the lead for the last 10 minutes or so of each game at DM. It's hilarious, he can't pass or dribble for shit, but fuck me he's a tank.

For this month, probs around 60, other months I might play solid for two days and then not touch it for a fortnight. Depends how much free time I have in the evenings, how busy I am with work (work from home) and how bored I am. Haven't actually completed a full month of WL yet, so I'm gunning for Elite this month, I'll probs do a lot less next month as it's far too time consuming!

Saying that I have a duel PC monitor (for working from home), so on one screen I normally have FIFA running (xbox wired up to it) and the other I have the tele running. Not for WL though.

Next weekend will be a challenge, out Friday, Saturday and my Godson is baptised on Sunday...

Edit: To add in, you honestly don't need to play that much. When I was commuting everyday or at uni and had a long term girlfriend I was maybe playing like 300 games per FIFA max (works out at like less than 7 a week) and was still winning D1. Just need to get to grips with a few fundamentals and work out a style that suits you.

Edit Edit: If you're on Xbox I'm happy to play a few friendlies and give you some pointers if you want.

Lately I'll do a season or two max during the week and the weekend league. So between 50 and 60 a week.








It's a great feeling winning on penalties against some bellend who was playing to get penalties.

So last weekend there were two red cards in my 40 games, both for me. I'm only seven games down and there have already been four reds, one for me and three against...

Including one just now where I was only 1-0 up from Dybala, but his go to method seemed to be to slide. Six fouls, three injuries, two yellows and two reds later Florenzi seals the win at the very end.

The thing is I think it annoyed him a lot I was keeping the ball so well (66% possession, 90% passing), but I have no option but to play from the back (you've seen my midfield, nobody there wins an aerial ball), so I don't get why he doesn't just put pressure up to 75-80 and maybe change to 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 (4)...

Edit: 9-5 currently. Lost all three games that have gone to extra time.

SIF Firmino and TIF Eriksen are both amazing and well worth getting. Sold Lukaku (at a profit too) as honestly for the 500 odd K he was just ok. He was on 6 goals 4 assists in 14 when I sold him on which isn't awful in a front 3 (when the CAM isnt far off being a striker anyway) but you'd expect much better for the price.
Upgraded Kante to the MOTM version, Bailly to IF Azpilicueta and Herrera to Pogba. Won first game with the changed team 6-0

Cheers pal. Sadly I'm on ps4. I had a good run this morning and got up to Div6 then some fella punished me with a 7-1 humiliation and I needed to go outside for a long hard think.

Things have definitely improved now I have sorted out a settled team so I'm probably on the right track for a solid League 3 or 4 team and I don't reckon I'll get much further.

Only just learnt about managers so that'll make contracts a bit cheaper!

Was playing some seasons, dominated one match completely, I had 18 shots with 14 on target, they had 5 shots and 5 on target.

16 games remaning, need to go 12-4 for Elite or 8-8 for Gold 1. The 8-8 is probably more realistic. Although if the game was only 90 mins I'd currently be 17-4-3

They're all basic cards cuz I don't have any money. I need to sort out the full backs next I think.

My biggest flaws are that I couldn't finish if my life depended on it, and I try far too many skills.
