Can I suggest you look at some of the people your club employed before you start having a go at us.

Is the sexual assault of children really something to be used as a point scoring tactic?

Pretty scrappy game last night which I though we shaded. Norwood missed enough chances for a hatrick but probably scored the toughest of the lot. Crewe almost grabbed a point in the end but for an unbelievable save by Davies.

Notts county and Oldham were louder as were spurs but fair play great support from Crewe, we probably edged it and deserved the win although hands up it was a stone wall Crewe penalty last minute.... You cannot be offside from a back pass! Need to see if the lino is related to ross joyce

Ref was a bit of a homer tbh, nothing too contentious but he just seemed to be constantly pointing his hand at the Kop for fuck all really. The offside call at the end was not only not offside but Miller got hacked down, it’s a guaranteed peno and Porter will always bury it. Different story then.

We created nothing really, had a good grip on possession, but give Norwood 2 chances and we’re lucky it was only 1-0. On fire that man.

A Friday night in the republic of Merseyside was always bound to be a good away atmosphere. Don’t mean to shag Tranmere’s arse but everyone from the ticket guards to the people serving pints and beer in the concourse were sound as fuck and up for a laugh. Glad you lot got back into the league so quickly.

Yes, but on that basis, you'd never make any subs or alter a team between games.

Yes, since the turn of the year, having faith has paid off. But based on the whole season, this group has consistently failed to deliver in the critical moments. The attack has been non-existant based on the last 4, so making changes sounds like a better idea than flogging a player that has just come back from a long injury lay off, especially given the fact they have a game on Tuesday and he played for the U23s earlier in the week.
I agree with that, personally I would start Lowery and Dale next game just to mix it up, the seasons a dead rubber now.

But I do trust in Artell’s logic, Jonah gave the ball away a lot but he’s meant to be sellable asset and that’s a priority. Doesn’t help he gets injured constantly for him or us.

Some times it’s beneficial to show some faith and belief into our boys in the long run though, isn’t it? I trust them.

Wasn’t having a go at Jones, he just looked dead on his feet for most of the second half and it’s understandable after 2 months out injured. Green had his best game in a while and got hauled off instead. Probably didn’t make much difference to the result, just odd management from Artell with the Cambridge game on Tuesday to think of.

I have been to Gresty Road many times over the years and have always considered it one of the quietest home crowds in the League but fair play to their fans last night. Not only did they turn up in numbers, certainly more than I have seen at Prenton Park for a long time, but they made quite a racket even if most of their songs were about how much they dislike a certain club from the Potteries rather than in support of their own team. Fair play to them.

Gresty Road has been a morgue for years now, was alright back in the day, our marketing department are as useful as a chocolate teapot on a good day. Does my head in, working class town should be doing everything they can to get more locals in but they’re hellbent on constantly charging £22.

Plenty of Vale bashing and that will always be the case, there was more Wrexham bashing last night which is surprising but I approve it.

I love Green but he’s been pointless for a while now. We’ve got good centre mids but they’re lacking in creativity quality, Wintle ended up having to play that role last night. Lowery needs a game, he makes stuff happen.

Disgusting? What did he do that was 'disgusting' exactly? I'm betting nothing.

As for the game, yeah, not a lot to disagree with from the above. We're settling into mid-table as expected whilst Tranmere have hit form at just the right time.

If we can anything out of this game, I'd be delighted. Expecting a fairly routine home win though.
Only just reading this thread back, I think he scored against them and knee slided at their fans. Utterly disgusting actions.

Don’t understand why Crewe fans here are bothered what we think of Kirk. Kind of a back-handed compliment that he got under some skins so much. Personally thought Ainley was the better player on the day at Gresty Road, proving a real handful.

Like the previous post, think this will be a tight game. It wouldn’t be a total surprise to see Crewe emerge with something.
Because it seems every game we’ve played this season the opposition have come at us with plain wrong backlash. Some undertones I think from our current reputation are the precedent for that.

Shite shite game so glad I was pissed and can barely remember any of it.

But I'm glad Tranmere are back in the league. A proper awayday and they deserved the win because we never got going up top. Still want us to play for wins until there's no mathematical chance of us going up or down and then we can experiment because right now we're in a mini-rut where we don't look like scoring or winning a game for a while.

Can't speak for other opponents, but think the reaction against Charlie Kirk was largely as a result of how he goaded Rovers fans during the home game rather than anything else. He's a long way to go until reaching the pantomime villian status of the likes of Kevin Ellison and Ricky Miller though.

Never had any issues with Crewe, close enough for both sides to bring a decent number at away games and a good atmosphere at games. Have fond memories of the 1-1 season-ender in the late 80s, which saw both sides going up to the then Division 3.

Can guess when Vale have managed to win a game by the way their fans suddenly crawl out of the woodwork.

We’ve hardly been hiding and been pretty vocal about our club during our run of poor form.
