Please discuss.

Pros
- Once a very good striker for England.

Cons
- Seems to have a penchant for a tintin quiff recently.
- Avoids paying his own taxes whilst suggesting everyone else's are spent on refugees.
- Continuously claims tiredness is a 'myth' whilst advocating a winter break.
- Overdoes hand gestures when interviewing on MOTD.
- Shat himself.

There's no actual evidence that he's avoiding paying tax. He's right about refugees.

Really ? This was one of his dear "child" refugees, even though he looks older than me

He never properly denied it. Surely if you were falsely accused of something like that you would strenuously deny and sue?

Doesn't stop him lecturing his twitter followers though.

I don't think those photos are of the same people. And I might be getting my photos from a few months ago mixed up, but I'm pretty sure the bloke on the left was the translator for the refugee kids.

Firstly, why should he have to deny it when no evidence has been presented? Also, he did deny it.

I see he was also bragging on twitter earlier about BT sports having the CL rights for the next 4 years. Us peasants can't afford that shit Gary :dk: Congrats though on bagging another 1.5+mil a year :hesk:

He didn't deny it, he just said "I have always paid taxes". A clever way of dodging the issue. You would think he would be a bit more upset if the allegation was completely false.

This is a man who blamed a £30k a year private school because his son failed his A levels. Nothing to do with George going to Ibiza a couple of weeks before his exams or not studying, completely the school's fault.

I wonder how many refugees will be competing with his childen/grandchildren for private school places, private hospitals and multi million pound houses?

Pros:

- Is a better analyst and ambassador of the game than almost everyone he interviews.
- Is correct about refugees.
- Easily the best sport's presenter in the UK.
- Affable chap.
- Enemy of Rupert Murdoch.

Cons:

- Hawks unhealthy salt and oil laden potato products to the public.

In the last week he's decided the away goals rule is shit because it "encourages teams to play defensively at home".

As was pointed out on twitter, out of the 16 games in the CL, not one home team played defensively.

He also claimed his kids are all Barca fans after the 6-1 win. I'm pretty sure they were Leicester fans last season?

He seems to support Barca, Leicester, Spurs, Everton, England and Spain depending on who's winning.

What a strange thread.

He's even being blamed because someone can't afford BT. Not sure that's his fault.

I clearly recall him saying his kids were Man Ure fans a few years back.

I'd advise anyone to follow George on twitter. He is unintentionally hilarious.

So you're basically having a go at him for supporting the teams he's played for and the national team of a country he lived in?

Would hate to see how many teams Steve Claridge 'supports' then.

I think we should treat refugee's like human beings. Does this make me a 'lefties luvvie?'

Yep - let's allow 1million refugees in.

Any idea how we are going to pay for them and how public services will cope?
