Think their goalie is going to be dropped :

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49861219

He simply has to be, even Jones after the game sounds like he has had enough of him.

Unfortunately since he has been here it’s never felt right with him in goal. After today I doubt highly if those in front of him are going to trust him for a very long time.

Jones is right too, it was a nothing 0-0 type game and a point here would have been massive for us.

Its not just the howlers for goals and points lost - and there have been quite a few. His distribution was terrible today.

Hes not a keeper suited to playing it out from the back picks bad options and often invites pressure on the defender or dm from the oass he picks, as hes a poor footballer esp when he passes over thirty or forty yards.

Maybe its just confidence as hes good enough for one of three for Croatia but right now hes shot. Today was just a blooper reel

We were utter shite in the 2nd half today but managed to scrape over the line.
Unlucky Reading, you didn't deserve to lose today.
We were soooo bad. :(

We didnt but only got ourselves to blame. Still don't know how Puscas missed that sitter in the second half. Gomes isn't going to be in a job for much longer. With preston at home and then Qpr and Forest away after the international break it's difficult to see where we will get a win from.

We won on a Saturday for the first time in 18 months

Brilliant to see Diakhaby playing with a bit of confidence and Bacuna has come off the bench and won 2 games in a week. 3 weeks ago everyone was talking about them being massive wastes of money but Cowley and Cowley have worked some serious magic in a short space of time.

I'm confident now that we won't be in a relegation battle. Probably a mid table finish and then a proper go at it next season

Nathan Jones seemed to have a big change of tune .

Very defensive in his interview this time saying people don't understand the job he he has to do etc

Post match interviews tend to be useless but his are especially. He is still too emotional from the game and in the main talks rubbish, last weeks was a prime example. His midweek interviews tend to be when you get some sense out of him.

He rides the emotional rollercoaster more than most, for better or worse.

Fuck.me, you've won 2 in about 40 and now you're prime Barcelona.

Nuge is looking like a really useful addition.

Good to see that Harrop has found his feet too.

Tidy squad.

Who? Nugent?

Our only striker signing was an injured 34yr old on a free, we still need another one. Wasn't remotely impressed.

Not a great performance today, definitely an ugly win but a very good 3 points, similar to the Hull game but this time we were on the right end of the 1-0 scoreline. We're definitely a solid side but we're just lacking at the other end of the pitch, hopefully we can stay with the pack going into January and bring in a couple that will push us on. Happy to see Luongo come into the team and bag the winner, and Pelupessy did reasonably well in place of Hutchinson but I expect Hutch to be back in at Cardiff. Always nice to go into the break on the back of a win, time for a few beers.

Yep not a classic but a hard earned deserved win.
Wigan only threatened a couple of times, great save from Westwood to tip it on to bar.
Hopefully with Forestieri back and his troubles behind him he can give us something different up top.

I'd put my mortgage on us not making the top 6.

Also that Sluga makes Ola Tidman look like a competent keeper.

Why are Wednesday fans so confident they won't get top six? It's wide open

If Forestieri comes back into the team firing then that gives us an extra 10% that could push us in there, at the minute though we are workmanlike and apart from at Middlesbrough, every win is a tough grind. We still have January to address issues but obviously the budget isn't there after just avoiding FFP punishments, realistically it's going to take another few windows to get this side sorted properly.

Scrolled down and seen it’s been covered already.

I reckon they may well make top six. They’re nothing special, just a solid compact side with a bit of quality in the right areas which is exactly what the recent Burnley, Middlesbrough and Brighton teams to be promoted have been.

For the first time in about 2 years, I don't have that sinking feeling anymore. We finally have a confident team again. Still pretty limited, and lots of work to do, but think there'll be 3 worse teams than us.

Because thinking we can get mid table really is prime Barcelona. Weird fan base.
