Think Top Notch and Cue Card will win but my only bet today is Mendip Express £5 ew @ 25/1. Decent form at this course and third in this race last year, not been in the best of form this year but there's certainly more in this horse. Well within an each way chance with the bookies paying 5 places.

It's not easy to picture Cue Card winning. I backed him in the GC and was very disappointed with the run, jumped poorly and was well beaten already when coming down. Had no excuses.

£70 up thanks to Fox Norton. Not a bad couple of days all in all.

The World's End at 3/1 :) in profit for the day, but not hugely. Looks another difficult festival with big prices flying in. How Pingshou got up like that after, not to mention Ultragold, I'll never know.

The only thing I really enjoyed about Aintree this year was the renewal between Might Bite and Whisper.

Didn't win a penny, although if I hadn't talked myself out of backing Pingshou on Friday it would have been different :(

Might Bite looks like he could be quite a star, as long as they can stop him running for the exit whenever he passes it.

I think Simon Holt's commentary for Racing UK for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham is one of my favourite pieces. I really do prefer him to Richard Hoiles.

Goodluck to the commentator of the Irish Grand National. 30 horses, 14 of which will be wearing the Gigginstown colours.

Punchestown festival starting shortly, could be a costly week.

Took an age to eventually set off and then wasn't all that interested.

They were all walking forward together and it looked like he might start, then Ruby Walsh got a bit ahead on Melon but then stopped causing the others to stop. Starter then dropped his flag and all the others started but Labaik didn't until the others were miles ahead. The commentators were discussing whether it was an intentional tactic to mess Labaik up, bit naughty if so.
He does have another 2 entries on Friday and they reckon he'll try again in one of those, possibly the Champion Hurdle vs the pregnant Annie Power.

It was definitely intentional, and it was disgraceful. He probably would have jumped off, but you could see him get flustered when the horses started popping in all directions. Still, the other jockeys are under no obligations at all to behave in such a manner to help along a stubborn type. One would just like a bit of professional courtesy wouldn't one.

Robbie Power again! absolute freak of nature. Always thought Fox Norton had the beating of UDS on that trip and ground today. UDS win at the festival is looking awful form wise

That horse seems to have a liking for Gold cups. Irish, Cheltenham and now Punchestown.

Minella awards weighs in too another £80 profit. Not bad considering I'm on a train to Aberdeen nicely supping my 12 pack and winning money.

Great field weighs in too at 3/1 to win by 5 lengths with a score on. If only I had a £10 treble

No Annie Power in the champion hurdle tomorrow, Vroom Vroom Mag gets the chance to win it for the 2nd year in a row instead. Labaik will be trying again with a different jockey on board, see if that makes a difference.
