This is mainly aimed at Liverpool fans as you, Wether you like to admit it or not, came within an hour of total and utter non-existence. You came that close in 2010.
So. The latest news from your owner won't have filled you with joy.

If your owner just pulled the plug. Discuss. I have heard rumours as I did in 2010 that Liverpool were fucked, thankfully they were saved.

How secure are you? Think you'd survive? I know of two clubs debts off bat who'd totally go under. One is mentioned. The other recently promoted.

Ok. One of those clubs is Liverpool. And the owner is thinking of pulling out.

Ok. And this has been this way, and I know it has. For a number of years. Liverpool's success ratio has and is key. You are living on borrowed time. Your owner as come out and now admitted it. Can Liverpool sustain their losses on and off the field?
I am not gloating but merely stating cold hard facts. You were lucky to survive in 2010. You berate the new owners for not buying you success after saving you. And now you could potentially go under again.
My question to Liverpool fans is this. Moores, as much as you hated them (I am actually related to Dave Moores but he's a twat) gave you bigger success than this foreign ownership. Really!?!

Being as your not getting a response from Liverpool fans ( they're probably googling for an answer) John Moores the founder of Littlewoods was as you probably know the owner of Everton FC. It was he who saved Liverpool with a loan originally. When he died his kopite son took all our money over to snake mountain so it's karma in my book.

RIP Liverpool FC

Oh Liverpool fans glide over so many, so many truths mate. I am more than aware and isn't it odd how they have to keep getting bailed out?

I am sure there are lots of clubs who are not self sufficient and relying on sugar daddies. That is what football has become

I dunno what the debt stands at but its much less than Man Utd's. FSG bought them for £300 mill and the club is now worth ~£1.1 bill. With regular CL football (a big ask currently) that value rises to near £2 bill. FSG are no H&G and run things properly; they've made mistakes, and they need a big summer spree imo, but the club is much more stable than it was under those other muppets who nearly ruined it all.

man utd are an entirely different beast salty, one of the few mega clubs. no point comparing the clubs at all as one is a commercial powerhouse that pulls in half a billion quid a year and the other relies on selling players for £60mil every year to get by.

The fact Liverpool bought no one in jan tells you they are in trouble.

If they don't make Europe this season it could be curtains.

Yeah I suppose being a Newcastle fan you'd know all about poor transfers. ;)

Lovren has been fine though the others for one reason or another have been poor, it happens.

I'm disappointed they never got anyone in in January but it wasn't for the lack of trying; they spoke to Draxler for instance but he wanted to go to PSG. Klopp has said he only wants quality in to improve the side but won't go ott in spending to get it. Fair enough imo, though it doesn't help us for this term.

can you give us your opinion on the other £987 million you have spent since 1991 on players and won 0 league titles.

was that money well spent for instance?

Liverpool gross spend since 1992 - £917m. Trophies since 1992 = 11.

Everton gross spend since 1992 - £417m. Trophies since 1992 = 1.
