Here we go then! With the WC antics this break has flown by.

On paper a decent opener for us, but I'm sure Rovers will be raring to go and we'll need to perform.

I'd like to see something like this, but honestly I'm really not sure how we'll set up in Midfield or up top with so many midfielders still out of action- thoughts Tom_ITFC ??? I would like to see all of Waghorn, Sears and Harrison but I feel it's unlikely.

2-1 Town, steady opening day with a good atmosphere and hopefully a decent turnout ~ circa 20k.

I’d take out Spence and move the new guy to RB and play Woolfenden. Would also swap Chalobah and Dozzell around. Other than that, looks good to go!

Certainly wasn't a thriller. Stand out performers for us being Gwion Edwards who looks like a fanastic bit of business, and Chalobah in the first half impressed for me.

We are shakey at best, at the back. Didn't think we deserved to lose the game on balance but at the same time before Edun's somewhat fortutious leveller in the 91st minute I couldn't see where the goal was coming from.

Very much a work in progress, as expected. But a good crowd, decent atmosphere and plenty of optimism as we work towards the finished product. It seems we still have another 3-4 players who are yet to brought in but seem likely to materialise before Thursdays deadline.

Will we ever win at Portman Road again? The 24 year wait goes on. A draw was a fair result but that doesn't make the 91st minute cross going straight in any less of a shithouse of a goal to concede. Thought we played quite well, Graham was surprisingly good and Lenihan just gets better and better.
