Yeah I live with your mum. She makes me pancakes for breakfast.

We also watch all the Chelsea matches together.

Every time Liverpools loses we go on rawk and read all the benefit cheats vermin whine.
Careful, we don't want this thread turning into a Youtube comments section.

Thread to discuss all things related to United and preferably not related to Liverpool. Feel free to create one of these for your team, but I'm not gonna make 92 threads.

Discuss anything.

No one seems to have thoughts on their own teams bar a couple in the top 6 thread, so I'll just post my stuff here.

Screenshot_20170205-182352.png

So two point off 4th and four off 3rd with 14 games to go. I guesstimated that we'd need somewhere around the 72pt mark for 4th, which would require of us twenty-seven (27) out of forty-two (42) points. 9/14 wins should suffice.

Games vs:

Watford (h)
City (a)
Bournemouth (h)
Southampton (h)
Middleborough (a)
West Bromwich (h)
Everton (h)
Sunderland (a)
Chelsea (h)
Burnley (a)
Swansea (h)
Arsenal (a)
Tottenham (a)

Crystal Palace (h)

Bar the three tough away days to top 6 rivals and Chelsea at home, we should [far from certain obvs] be winning most of those games.

All in our hands, and like I've said - involved in all the comps. Considering how our season began, we are in a relatively healthy position. Also shows how fierce the competition is this year.

I saw today the Leicester vs ManU match. That was a blitz from Miki and Ibrahimovic in 80sec.
And after looking at your league table in the spoiler: This could be the last time that G-Dragon can make his (meanwhile lame) joke that ManU is still 6th.

Mkhitaryan's goal was excellent, knew exactly how long his touches should be, where to place the shot, etc.

Bailly and Valencia are the best players on the team imo. (<--- debate topic)

ASSE (h, Europa League) - 3-1
Blackburn (a, FA Cup) - 4-0
ASSE (a, Europa League) - 2-1
Southampton (League Cup Final) - 2-1

City (a, postponed) - 0-2
Bournemouth (h) - 2-0
Southampton (h) - 1-1
Middlesborough (a) - 3-0
West Bromwich (h) - 2-0
Everton (h) - 3-2
Sunderland (a) - 1-0
Chelsea (h) - 1-2
Burnley (a) - 3-1
Swansea (h) - 1-1
Arsenal (a) - 0-0
Tottenham (a) - 1-0
Crystal Palace (h) - 3-0

Somewhat optimistic predictions, with non-PL matches included. This would get us 30 points from a possible 42, so we'd most likely make it. I did say this was optimistic though, we're very likely to slip up in a couple matches however I can see our unbeaten run going for a few more matches.

I love Bailly, a proper no-nonsense, hard bastard of a defender. Cut from the same cloth as a Vidic or a Terry. All of our central defenders have had their moments this season but Bailly is our best, I think.

They're technically different, this one's more about management and the team in general but mine was about players and miscellaneous discussion. It's fine though.

I told you it would "end well" but I didn't, even in my wildest dreams, expect your thread to propel Saltire into his very first piece of actual mod-work.

:D

I wrote "could be the last time" not "it's the last time". If I had to choose between a Liverpool win against Tottenham and the end of "66MU" I'll chose the first, of course.

Mourinho sounding even more of a c**t than normal in his post-match interview for the BBC. He's got no respect for anyone.

He really doesn't like it when the tactics he's gotten down to a fine art are successfully used against him.

He's a tiresome bugger and looks increasingly trampish. You almost worry for his sanity at times.

Interviewers are constantly poking the bear when interviewing Mourinho. They are always looking for a reaction. After the Chelsea FA Cup game they asked the same question three times regarding the red card that shouldn't have been. Anyone who watched the game today saw that United dominated and it took an inspired performance from Ben Foster to earn a draw. It's a ridiculous question that deserves a ridiculous answer. Mourinho has become a surly character, but anyone would be sick of the media constantly trying to catch them out. Evenly balanced? Give me a break.

He's a frustrated manager answering bad questions to a man who will be delighted with his reaction. I think you're being too harsh.

I'm not sure why he was meant to respect a journalist doing a bad job though?

It was a badly worded question but I'm not sure how you've come to the conclusion that Conor McNamara was looking for a reaction. Mourinho made an issue out of it by reacting the way he did. All he had to say was: "well I disagree with that..." before going on to explain how he viewed the game. That's all McNamara was after.

To be honest, I had only read the article about the interview before I posted that. I am just sick of interviewers baiting him, it's pretty much how most interviews start with Mourinho when United have a bad result. After watching the interview, it was pretty unreasonable from Mourinho, but I'm guessing he's just completely fed up with the bullshit he has to deal with and was caught at a bad time. It was a ridiculous question, but I accept that McNamara wasn't intentionally poking the bear.

Sky and BT interviewers might do it but it's very rare a BBC journalist will go out of their way to provoke a manager.

I almost feel sorry for him. His ego can't come to terms with the fact he's lost it as a manager.

What's going on with Luke Shaw? Mourinho:

I cannot compare the way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition [with Blind, Valencia, Young and Darmian]. I cannot compare. He is a long way behind.

Does he have a future at United? Surely he's better than Darmian, Valencia and Young at left-back, at least.

Classy as always from Mourinho, picking individual players out for public criticism. It contributed to fucking things up at Chelsea and I can see it happening again at United medium to long term, especially if it's combined with a lack of title challenges given the money being spent.

Probably hasn't got any female doctors at United to bully when one of his players goes down and writhes as if they've been shot.
