You've got Liam Bellamy? :ohm:
Thought he'd be in a lower league team somewhere

He was one of the desperation signings before the new owners came in. He's spent the entire season injured.

Daggers fans how has Harry Phipps been??

Saunders signed him for us claiming he had potential to be a decent player at this level, then decided to hardly play him for 18 months and then released him.

Most Daggers fans like him. He started the season in a very poor team and struggled a bit. Once we signed a few actual decent players, he played the central role very well and was a big part of us picking up 25-26 points in 10 games before Christmas. Then for some bizarre reason, he hasn't played since we lost to Barnet at the end of December (well, aside from yesterday when we played all our squad players against Braintree). He got a small injury but hasn't been able to get back in the team and often the squad; much to the dismay of our fans. He did sign a new contract with us a few months ago for 2 years. I think he's got potential to be a decent midfielder at this level but he needs to play.

Interesting one. Think most darlo fans would give Ferguson a go back here. Looked a real prospect when Gray took him with him to you guys.

Defenders

Matt Thomson ~ keep
Matt Waters ~ keep

Scott Howson ~ get rid
Danny Livesey ~ keep (but I doubt we could afford him)
Alex Downes ~ keep (send out on loan)

Midfielders

Rhain Hallawell ~ keep (send out on loan)

Iwan Murray ~ keep
Craig Mahon ~ get rid
Anthony Dudley ~ he's off to Southport (or is it Stockport?)
George Waring ~ keep
Lloyd Marsh-Hughes ~ keep
Matty Hughes ~ keep (if fit)
Akwasi Asante ~ contracted for next season, but something of a sicknote .

New team needs building for next season, when we're hoping to be employing a hybrid training model. Compared to this season after our 6-0 home defeat to Stockport the next time the players saw each other was the warm up against York City on the following Saturday. Absolutely not good enough.
Why get rid of Theo Roberts out of interest? Been getting absolutely rave reviews out on loan.

Has to be a must keep him especially considering how dodgy Shenton can be.

Shenton was m-o-m on Monday. If Theo Roberts is that good they'll keep him, but I've never seen him play.

Ferguson is good but Newton has been best player at club since Watson took over and can’t see him playing.
Bartlett is a top keeper and great shot stopper but don’t think he’s had a good season but probably due to idiots at centre half’s,

No reason why you can't do a Torquay.

There’s every reason we won’t do a Torquay. Torquay have a manager with nous who knows that division. He also has great contacts and exploited then superbly this term. We have retained a manager who knows fuck all about that level and will still try to play his tippy tally style with midgets and kids. The bulk of our current crop of ‘players’ aren’t good or strong enough for NLS and I wouldnt want most of the oxygen thieving slackers to stay anyway. To stand even half a chance we need to go to part time, reorganise and get in a manager who knows the level and more importantly, knows who the decent part time players are. Reset, start again.

we played tippy tappy all season with probably one of the youngest squads in the league - and we will finish 11th or 12th - and with a manager who had only a handfull of games in charge as a caretaker at Chesterfield before we gave him the job.

Sorry just seen this.
Newton is a funny one.brilliant when Mills was manager, average under Gray, pathetic and downed tools under Collins but since Watson has come in he is best player at club and miles to good for this level.plays in settled position in defence and 2nd highest goalscorer .

Becherif.pathetic switches off and should of gone 2 years ago when relegated from conference but Mills awarded him a long and good contract.not had a sniff since Watson come in and defence seems solid.

Burrows.divides fan base, got 18 goals this season but 10 from pen spot, runs his bollocks off and great team players but doesn’t score enough or get in positions to score.but after idiots McNamara signed I like him and hope he stays.

You lot have certainly gone the other way to us,at this level you got the right manager in and rest is history.
Believe we have finally got the right manager and refreshing to have a happy fan base for once.

Cracking own goal from him down here the other week, felt like it was meant to be.

Biggest mercenary going.

Shadrach Ogie - contracted
Joe Widdowson - Faded towards the end of the season, but I'd keep him.
Jayden Sweeney - contracted

Midfielders
James Dayton - Sadly, I'd get rid of him - Good player but injury prone.
James Brophy - Contracted
Jobi McAnuff - Deserves another year.
Jordan Maguire-Drew - Contracted
Craig Clay - Keep, immense this season.
Charlie Lee - 50/50 on him, great leader but injuries have caught up with him.

Hector Kyprianou - Contracted

Forwards
Macaulay Bonne - contracted - But could be sold.............
Josh Koroma - contracted, But could be sold............
Matt Harrold- 35 next season, done a superb job for us as an impact player, but we need a younger targetman. Get rid.
Jay Simpson - keep - Not had a great time of it since he signed, but IMO we won't get better.
James Alabi - Contracted - He's played his part this season, but we need to sell him.
Ruel Sotoriou - Contracted

There's no in between with Newton. He's either good or completely downs tools and I can imagine he's an absolute cock at times if things aren't going his way. Great left peg, mind.

Certainly an irony seeing him, still, in the NLN having downed tools here to force a loan move through to then L1 Notts County.

Yeah, you could do far worse than Burrow but he's not someone you'd find in a successful side I don't think. He scored most of his goals in the first half of seasons here.

Its a very difficult one for us because we'll need to strengthen in order to compete but each and every player deserves a shot at the division above and haven't looked out fo place when playing higher league opposition this season (Yeovil, Maidstone, Harrogate & Fylde)

If it was me I'd keep the lot. They're all heroes in my eyes! Oh, and sign Jamie Stott on a permanent deal.

I’d definitely get get rid of Cowan as he cost us a few goals this season - Barnet, Yeovil and away at Blyth just from memory. I don’t see a Walker-like comeback for Dimaio so would cut my losses with him if he’s prepared to rip up his contract.

I would also perhaps harshly bin off Stephenson. He was unplayable at the turn of the year but he misses some absolute sitters through lack of composure and when he’s out of form it’s like playing with 10 men. I don’t think we will be able to carry him in the National.

And I've only just noticed Joe Anyon amongst the Chesterfield squad still.

He's a bit of a modern Drewe Broughton. Relegated from L1 to L2 with Vale, then from L2 to NL with Lincoln and Chesterfield.

We’ve got the squad in for talks today.

Nicky Featherstone was the first one in the door asking for a contract extension

Some talk of us scattering Loach and Noble. Hopefully that’s all bollocks

I would disagree with you on both Cowan and especially Dimaio. Cowan is a more than capable back up and provides cover not only at RB but also CB.

Dimaio has the kind of extra quality you need in the National League. You could see when he played that he's a class above. Just didn't get to the required fitness levels for one reason or another. I can see him being a really important player for us next season.

I'd agree with you about Stephenson though. He blows hot and cold and as you said, when cold he might as well not play.

I'm not the biggest fan of Turnbull. He's too rash when under pressure. Keane is a far superior player but for nostalgia's sake and to provide back up, I'd keep him.

Its been a strange season for Callum. He has impressed when he has been given an all too rare opportunity by Heath who isnt a fan. He got sent out loan to Boston but strangely didnt impress so Boston did not take up the option to sign him permanently
