No surprise Reece Brown's in there, future England player imo.

How on Earth is Murphy in that TOTY... we’ve conceded 56 goals this season!

Might not have all been his fault.

Anyway nice to see another FGR player, Dan Mayor make team of the year. Looks like leaving him there on loan till the summer has worked out well for everyone. Reckon he'll be a good replacement for Reece.

If it wasn't for Murphy we would have conceeded about 90 goals.
He's been a one man defence at times this season.
I don't think a goalkeeper makes 600+ appearances if he's no good.
Somebody would have spotted this before 600 don't you think?

Not sure how Akinde has made it in, given he has 15 goals and only 7 of them from open play. His all round game must have been amazing. Baffled as to how he's been voted in over Maynard.

Amazing is probably a bit OTT but it's been very good, which is why he hasn't scored as many goals from open play. The first half of the season he'd been involved in most of our goals and created most of our chances along with Andrade.

From a technically perspective he isn't the best (questionable first touch) but his height, strength, power and, when he gets a chance to stretch his legs, pace are big assets to a lone front man.

Although it's voted for by the players, I think? So it's probably a reflection of how others have found playing against him rather than just from a stat POV. I can imagine he's a nightmare to play against. He's got a bit of everything.

Nicky Maynard has the best goals per game ratio in the league, but Norwood has 6 more goals than him, so it’s a tough toss up.

Maynard was class on Monday, his unselfish movement off the ball creates opportunities for others, whilst his channel runs must be a delight for your midfielders looking for an offensive pass.
It just shows his experience and the level he has played at.
Shame about the injuries that effectively destroyed his career.
Even at 32/33 next season, I wouldn't mind him down at our place.

Scott Brown could easily have been the keeper, he has been absolutely outstanding, as good if not better than Mark Goodlad which is saying something. If it wasn't for him we'd probably be in the bottom 2 battle still. His penalty save on Monday was incredible... well the rebound save.

Best away defence in the whole EFL.

He's no Stuart Tomlinson, who has yet again been overlooked. Fuming.

He’d have to compete with Douglas Bader and Heather Mills, though.

Cooper and Flitcroft. Battle of the Bottle Jobs in the POs.

Not having a dig here but L2 has panned out pretty much in budget order. Sure it appears to have fucked Bury but the other 5 must have had the best budgets.

In some ways it’s good to know that splashing the cash in the basement is still a good indicator of impending success.

Don’t get me wrong he’s been great for us, just don’t think he’s anywhere near the best in this league.

Krystian Pearce is unbelievable, he’s even started scoring now!

He’s brilliant on the ball, often dribbling past players, tough as nails and the centre of the best defence in the league* (currently)

Find it hard to imagine we can keep hold unless we get promoted.

Yeah was on about this on Stagsnet; you could probably swap one or two out the play-offs for some others but that’s it in terms of budgets.

Completely excluding probable biggest spenders in the division ala Notts county which you obviously forgot about!

Ours is top 10 so we’ve flopped!

We’re about where we should be on budget - maybe a couple of positions too low.

The problem with good L2 budgets is that although it generally produces relative success, when progressing up to L1 it has to grow exponentially just to tread water. That’s when some owners get the wobbles.

His hold up play was top notch on Monday. We just couldn't get the ball off him.

The Macc keeper was outstanding in both games against us.
We've had 3 different keepers in league games plus another played a few cup ties.
What about the Mansfield keeper let in the least?
