No further allocation for the game next week so it's 3047 Wigan fans at Blackpool officially. Unofficially they'll be many more in the home end and others milling around the town with no tickets. Lancashire police must be wetting themselves with excitement over the amount of overtime they are set to earn that day. It's a disgrace that they'll be a 2000 seater half stand empty next to us, while 2000 other Wigan fans who could have been there, are instead at the DW Stadium watching an open air beamback.

I shouldn't really complain, I have a ticket and after all it could be worse, we could be in Millwall's position!

It's been the same a few times this season. Both us and Coventry had the same.

Absolutely no reason for them not to offer more tickets. With our game it's even more stupid, given there's a big protest to be had outside during the game and with several pubs and the fact it's an hour on the train for about £10 return on a Bank Holiday, there'll be lots of Wigan fans without tickets going for a day out, just takes a couple of drunk idiots from both sides as Blackpool are going down and we'll likely win the league and you know what will happen and it would be entirely unavoidable. Lot's of Blackpool fans are handing season tickets to Wigan fans for a small fee as well, given there's about 3000 season ticket holders absent most of the season, they're not fussed. So with Wigan fans in all 4 stands and Wigan fans have taken up the whole of the hospitality (Blackpools MOTM award after should be fun), it's idiotic policing. You'd want to actively try and keep both sets of fans separate and maybe even keep Wigan fans in the ground for a short while at full time. Encouraging both sets of fans to mix together defies belief.

We should boost our woeful away average tonight with a decent following at Walsall - would hope at least 1,000 will make the relatively short trip.

Sold over a 1,000 so far for Southend at the weekend. Should come close to taking 2,000 down.

Presumably it's a tenner for Bury fans at our place this weekend. Late decision to reduce prices in an attempt to fill the ground.

Nope. Our season finished at least 2 weeks ago not many are interested tbh. Good incentive just aimed at the wrong crowd.

Makes it a cheap day out for Bury though. Group savers for tenner on train return and tenner for a ticket. Not bad at all. Won't impact the away following much but will add 1000+ onto the gate for home fans.

I know they aren't doing so well, but that's quite a poor following. We took over 1,300 on a Tuesday night in early December time and 800 odd for a cup replay on a Tuesday last season. Definetely expected better. Although Salop fans must hate coming to the Bescot. The record they have recently is atrocious.

Yeah our support was less than I expected to be honest - maybe the crap weather put some off at the last minute. We do have an awful record there and to be fair Walsall is not the best away day (Saddlers club is cheap I suppose so there is something going for it). Didn't stop me travelling up from Essex with two other Salop fans though (must be mad )

Home support was terrible for a team in third chasing automatic promotion ~4,600 home fans :ffs:

I've always said our away support is pretty fickle, think you can put Middlesboro in the same boat.
When we're struggling with nothing to play for then it's relatively poor.
However when we are on a promotion roll then our our numbers go up drastically and is pretty impressive.
However our home support is always pretty solid no matter how poor we are.
Our 5th season in this horrible league, our worse spell in our entire history and our average is virtually 20K.

Conversely Sheff Wednesday are the opposite.
Their away support is always quite impressive in numbers even when doing very little, Leeds are similar but on a even bigger scale. However it's the home support for SW that has always been fickle, again similar to Leeds.
When they are struggling it's lower than ours but when there's a big match then traditionally many of their fans appear from no where out of the woodwork giving them support akin to a big club.
Of course when Sheff Utd have a big match or do well our home numbers increase but not as much.
