We've only been given 1784 behind the goal. Maybe front row taped off on Plod advice?
Stand holds a fraction over 2,000. We already cordon row 1 off behind both goals after home fans kept running on the pitch, quite why they thought it would stop that I don't know (it hasn't)

Maybe they are blocking off part of the block near the west stand as that is were it has got lively in previous seasons so maybe they don't want your lot closest to our fans. Never done that before mind

Ah okay cheers. Thought someone had said it holds a bit more than that. Can see us requesting more, so hopefully they'll give us some of this side too. Not that it matters to me, I'd already agreed to go to my Auntie's birthday. Can't remember the last time we had a decent opening day fixture. Boston at home in like 2006/07 (?), maybe? Was gutted when I saw the fixture list!
Absolutely wounded to be missing this game myself. I work every other weekend and it looks to be one of those seasons where it falls really nasty for home games

St James' Park redevelopment will take all of this season and maybe some of next season as well.

The away end should be finished by the end of the season and will hold about 1000 on an all-standing covered terrace.

The Old Grandstand will probably take longer to finish (estimated middle of next season - Q4 2018). There may be some seating in that stand given to away fans as well.

Didn't realise work was being done there. What exactly is being done?

They're actually getting an away end, it's one of Barnet's old stands as far as I remember? Although I can't recall if it's the bouncy terrace from the new ground or the all seated end from Underhill.

Ah yeah, I can vaguely remember reading about that now. The Hive's old away end IIRC.

Yep, we're installing the old away terrace from The Hive as our new away end & we're replacing the Old Grandstand with a new similarly sized stand.

As mentioned, the away capacity will be restricted to 350 seats in the Main Stand for the coming season.

But Exeter's uncovered away terrace was wonderful. Someone should've kicked up a fuss about preserving our history or something. :(

Btw gentlemen, is it too early to rename this thread to Grimsby's massive away followings?

Your allocation for our place will be 1900 (you won't get any more) behind the goal with terrible views on the top 5 rows. Nice supporters bar though.

Thanks. Should sell that quickly.

What about the "Lincoln Bandwagon Satnav Thread" as 66% of their current fan base haven't ever been to a football league ground

With Plymouth and Portsmouth gone we are red hot favourites the most important accolade in the division, the % of home fans taken away award.

We had a higher % than both of them anyway as they both have much better home support than us SOC.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of straight up away figures. I think Plymouth pipped us to 3rd place on the last day of the season at BP?

I think Portsmouth would have run you close if away ends were unlimited in size - they sold out practically every away end last season which hampered their followings.

Our tickets for Wycombe went on sale last night.

1,600 on sale to ST holders, of which there are 100 left. 400 have been set aside for non-ST holders and they go on sale on Sunday. I think we get another 350 if we sell-out.

We're so massive that we've sold out our entire allocation* for the long trip to Exeter.

You might as well hand us the league title now.

(*350 tickets)

Bit like you guys when you come to SB, fill the away and then have 'hundreds' of your fans in the rest of the ground...
Don't bother with away games much now, family first these days granted My daughter and I have a family season ticket so we'll be at the home games just not bothered with the away games.
Wouldn't mind going to Cov though...

Yeah I saw that too, been to Adams Park a few and we've never taken more than 5-600 there in the past, sure it'll die down once we start getting beat every week by the much better teams up here in division four.

Your fans words matey not mine.
On a serious note I take it you'll be wanting Mr Bogle to leave Wigan asap as I'm guessing you'll have a sell on you would like to spend on a few more new players?

No as they are valuing him at 800K so we won't get a penny as the sell on percentage is only on whatever profit Wigan make and as we sold him for 1M we get zilch.
