Morecombe (A) MK Dons (H) Crewe (A) Cheltenham (A) Grimsby (H)

That's who Mansfield have got to play in the next two weeks, by the end we will know if we are capable of turning our draws in to wins and taking advantage of our games in hand. If we don't see a significant improvement in picking up points after them Flitcroft time is on a cliff edge I imagine because I can't see us ever turning it around if we don't after another five games.

All very winnable if we take our chances although we play much better at home and three are away, I mean even against Swindon which was a bang average performance with 10 men CJ had one top chance that he put in to orbit and messed up taking it around the keeper in extra time.

Hopefully we get White back because we had to play Atkinson (CM) at RWB against Swindon and he got sent off.

So whoever is in charge of the fixtures should be fired.

Three days after going up to Grimsby (293 miles) they make us go to Crawley (190 miles). So almost a thousand miles in a few days.

I know it's not just us, I remember we played home to Stevenage on the Saturday after they played at Carlisle in midweek. And they looked jaded.

How can anyone expect teams to perform like that? I get that there have to be a few games in midweek and that these games have to be played but when there are three games in a week why can't they do away - home - away or at least make one of the away games a local one?

Yes I'm getting the excuses in early..
How do they pick the fixtures? Is it purely random and then played around with when the police moan about something?

I think its done randomly by a computer if this article is accurate. Not sure how you sack a computer! You have to play every team once home and away, there are bound to be some consecutive matches which are miles away for supporters, but you don't hear Carlisle fans bleating on about it.

I’m hoping no one is silly enough to start a MK Dons v Notts thread separately to this.
We will lose.

I'm really not confident. Notts County seem so unpredictable at the moment, and for us to win 5 in a row would be the first time since our 14/15 promotion season.

First trip to Macclesfield tomorrow, looking forward to it. Also very glad Macclesfield have finally won a game as we are fucking golden at letting teams break their runs

We have Cambridge at home tomorrow. If we can’t beat those muppets then I think Brown needs to pack his fancy suit and brown shoes and go back to Hull

We’ll have 20 shots and hit the car park with each of them, don’t worry.

Oldham away tomorrow night.

Had it been a Saturday I may have tried getting to it, I really like Boundary Park fir some reason.

Big chance for our first win under Duffo.

1-0 against the Cobblers, could have been so much more, hit the post twice, bar once and 2 disallowed, they offered next to nothing both on the field and off, very quiet for a large away following imho, think some ended up fighting with each other outside the ground :ffs:

We were quiet, but the ground doesn't lend itself to any atmosphere does it? Your sprinkling of (7,000?) fans didn't really add anything to it either.
Agree that we were fortunate to get away with 1-0.
There were a couple of young Dons who had either had a smell of the barmaids apron or other some substance intent of inciting something, frustrated by being ignored swung at one of ours who promptly put him on his arse. Last I saw they were being carted off by the plod.

At least you have shots, we have really been struggling with those recently. The last 2 keepers to visit the CG barely had their gloves touched, Brown has sorted out the defence but has made us boring. Marc Richards can’t play in our formation but continually gets picked. Doughty played 90 minutes on Saturday but was clearly unfit.

It’s dull at the moment but tonight really is a bit of a must win for Phil Brown, the fans are starting to turn on him a little and defeat tonight will turn up the heat.

I’ll go a scrappy 1-0 win but a 1-0 defeat wouldn’t surprise me. I’ll be watching on Ifollow (I should have learnt my lesson after the awful game at Crewe)

If we play like we did on Saturday, we'll win against Notts County tonight, although ideally we will both play like we did Saturday. We've only scored more than 2 goals once in the league so far this season, and this is potentially an ideal game for us to do that again.

There isn't much we can do about the atmosphere sadly. It's a lovely ground but no good for lower league footy. The best atmosphere I've experienced was at the rugby world cup. (I never got a ticket for the Man U match.).

As too our yoof, :fl:

Oh you will beat us trust me. You're one of our bogey teams and the only plausible reason for this phenomenon is only a psychological one. Players come and go, and so do managers, yet some sides are simply unable to get a result against their bogey teams. You lot always beat us and we always seem to beat Notts even when playing poorly, and if that ain't a psychological thing then what else could it be?

Notts away at MK is a damage limitation exercise, both in terms of the game and looking around and hoping the fellow dogshit sides in the league fail to win.

This is a (unlikely) bonus game, the key game is Saturday at home

I wasn’t aware of the bogey nature to be honest but now you mention it I can’t remember losing to you guys at home. However that’s not really saying much as I can’t remember what happened 2 days ago half the time.

Yeovil are 6 games without a win. So they get to play us to guarantee breaking that run tonight.

No wins in our last 21 in all comps in the South West, a run that dates back 7 years where that season we won 3 of our 5 games in the region. Find that stat so strange considering we do get a few good results in the South East of the country. So it's definitely not something to do with travel. It's easier to get to the South West from Crewe than it is the South East anyway!

Lump on Yeovil on your accumulators anyway. We rarely even score there. Can't see this goalshy lot doing that there tonight either.

Don't think Cambridge have a striker in their side.
I'll be siding with the Brown out squad if we don't get 3 points tonight.

2 up after 13 mins. If we win, this could be the start of our season. If we lose from here, I don’t know if Dunne could recover....

That’s correct, we don’t.

I'm a bit annoyed, I paid $9 to watch our game but this away team quite clearly isn't Cambridge....

End to end stuff at Morecombe, Mansfield come close by hitting the post but obviously it didn't go in like 99.9% of our efforts on goal.

Got our one win for the season then. We have looked absolutely terrible, even by this season's standards.

Men against boys at the Moss tonight. Cobblers quicker, stronger, sharper all over the pitch. We just aren't good enough.
