I thought the second yellow was harsh. Shackell should know better than to give him chance to send him off though. Refs advantage calls have been odd. Not sure what advantage we gain from having one man isolated on the ball against 4.

Carlisle shoukd win this comfortably now, we're struggling to get hold of the ball and when we do we're giving it back straight away. Big pitch and warm day doesn't help either.

Most obvious result of the day besides ours, Lincoln got promoted last game they were bound to lose today no matter who they played.

I was just thinking that I can't actually remember Grimsby even remotely looking like creating a chance once in the entire game.
This is why I haven’t been to a game in over a month, fuck paying to watch this shit every week.

Comfortable win against a poor Morecombe, easily have added a few more if it wasn’t for some superman saves by their goalie.

I love this defensive mechanism from Lincoln fans, there’s no need to even respond!!!
They're getting all bent out of shape on their forum about the ref so clearly taking it in their stride isn't the Lincoln way. To be fair I think they've just realised in horror that the further up the divisions you go, the harder it will be for them to win games through gamesmanship.

A imp on twitter wrote something among the lines of ‘see you next season Carlisle for revenge, oh no wait.....’

Then tweeted ten minutes later ‘I’m not bitter’

Yeah I fucking bet ya not.

Screw you Lincoln and Bury.

Our own fault to be fair, started as if we were just enjoying the sunshine, by the time we woke up we were 2 down.

Massive game at Stevenage on Monday.

Solid 2-0 win against Yeovil. We didn't really get out of 2nd gear and seemed to be trying too many flicks and tricks which didn't help. Could have had another 2 or 3 on a good day.

Impressive debut from Will Jaaskelainen. Solid enough from Billy Sass-Davies.

Yeovil were about on par with Notts County last week. Not much quality and an air of not caring about them. The sending off was definitely a moment of the player bottling the relegation battle.

Lee Mason sends our player off fair enough but doesn't book the lad who fouled Anderson in injury time.
Fair play to Carlisle first to stop us scoring in 27 league games and our first defeat in 20.
Onto Monday then

Yeovil and Morecambe are the two worst teams I've seen this season.
Notts County were poor at our place but better at their place.

From my angle it didn't even look like there was much contact. Surprised Lincoln got a free kick, felt their player must have just got a knock as both went for a50_50

Not the first time Jason Shackell has shown a surprising lack of discipline when he should know better.

He did that. Just didn't look especially bad. I thought the ref was decent. Very strict but didn't seem to favour one side over the other. Shackles fouls were very silly given it was goalless in the first half. The sort of thing that, if you were defending a lead in the second half, you'd call 'good foul', but stupid to do twice in the first half. Gerrard did something similar and got booked for it but fortunately learned his lesson.

Lincoln were the worst team I've seen play up here this season, absolutely awful. They will sure be back down here next season going by that performance.

We could of had more goals for our win today.

My first thoughts were 'sour grapes' until I saw it was Lee Mason. He was absolutely dreadful in our game at Notts so sympathise!

Going off performances at Brunton Park they'll do better than Mansfield.

Performances aren’t made on 2 games, if I’d have gone off what Carlisle did against us you’d be lucky to survive relegation - yeovil took 4 points from us and look like going down, and yet not one side in the top half have claimed that many from us.

Obviously you’re a fair and competitive side, one that I’ve always a bit of a soft spot for - and Yeovil well look shit, but that’s the performance from 2 games...

Well that was my point. I mean if it turns out you Lincoln and Bury go up automatically then our record against those three are w4 d1 l1. Our record against Yeovil notts and mac so far is w1 d1 l3

Indeed I've seen Swindon once we beat them 4 1 and Crawley once they beat us 1 0, on that reckoning Crawley should be at the top.
Every team has good and bad days

Yeah. No-one in the top half have a better head to head record against us - though you’re 2-2 and MK are 1-1 as we’ve them the last game.

If our record against the sides down there - dropping 3 at notts. 2 at macc, 5 at Yeovil, 3 against port vale, 2 against Cambridge etc we’d be up with you

2 pts in front, 3 games to go with superior goal difference. It's ours to lose now.
