Carlisle must be licking their lips for Saturday, we are a absolute disaster in defence including our goalkeeper who a lot of the fans are actually jeering against now, I mean he’s not good enough but that’s not on.

Pretty much same personnel in defence so I dunno what’s gone wrong, although we haven’t won a competitive game in (8?) games apperantly so maybe the rot is still in from last season.

Five goals conceded in the early minutes of the first half so far this season...

Only one man can save Mansfield Town now:

Dempster's lack of experience is showing at the moment. He needs to pick a formation (preferably 5-3-2), stick with it, figure out his personnel for each position and improve performances by creating competition for each position.

I'm also wondering what they are working on in training because it clearly isn't defending.

Rookie manager with no strategy at the moment or at least that's how it seems.

When you can’t beat morecambe in consecutive home games you know something’s badly wrong.

If only Dave shitcroft hadn’t choked

The defence clearly isn’t as well drilled but obviously has no faith in our overweight indecisive keeper

Next Tuesday will be interesting at Field Mill, when our two rookie managers go head to head.

You have the better team so should win........

We play Crawley on Saturday with potentially no fit strikers. Gonna be a very difficult game for us, just can't see us picking up a win

Did Keith Curle go through a 'zonal marking' period at any of his previous clubs? Three games and three conceded to zonal bloody marking and KC insists on keeping it, blaming the players...
Never have understood how zonal is better than man to man? Anyone else having to endure the same?

Oh yes, he fucking loved a bit of zonal marking. You're obviously just not earning the right to play.

I guess the idea with zonal marking is that your players don't get pulled out of position, but even Premiership teams have struggled to implement it well. I remember Arsenal going through a phase under Wenger where they just kept conceding goals from set pieces and zonal marking was blamed.

Its not the start you lads wanted, have there been many changes from last season ?
A good scrappy scabby win will change things, a 2-1 win for you against the southern softies

It's the exact same as last season. The minute we concede one goal, another is going to come in the next 5 to 10 mins. Were also yet again crippled with injuries like we were last season. Think we will lose to Crawley easily.

Meanwhile Crawley have fit strikers all over the place...not that they're much cop mind.

We seem to have adopted a " let's shot and see what happens" policy. The first three games we have had over twenty in each! That's more than the first ten games of last season! It has to happen when my shift work means I can't go.

Nadesan to start after an assist and a goal Tuesday but I doubt he will last the full game. Toss up between Bloomfield and Palmer to start up top.

Louis Young will still be suspended for his red v Carlisle. It will be interesting to see if Dacre-Cogly features. Signed with great fanfare and disappeared. Otherwise the defence as per Walsall.

1-2 to us Southern softies.

Newport away, tough game. Lots of rain today in the south of the country so hopefully the pitch is ok.

I’ll take a point here, Newport are physical, where as we try to keep it on the floor and move up through the thirds quickly.

1-1. Mayor to open his account for us, and Jamille Matt to score a header in the last 10 minutes.

Sounds like we’ve had a good start at Newport. Ryan Taylor has had one cleared off the line.

God knows how we’re not winning this. Blatant pen turned down, one off the line and Doyle hits the post.

72% possession in that first half and 9 shots to Newport’s 4. Hopefully we turn those chances into goals second half.

Sucker punch, Salford get a completely undeserved equaliser seconds after we miss a sitter. Should of had 4. Frustrating.
