EFL have been very, very quick to deny the claim - Our fans trust claim the opposite.

It would appear the EFL asked the club, to ask the fans trust to help pay the Medical Bill. Oh dear!

Our fans trust have requested a meeting with Shaun Harvey to clear the situation and to ask a few questions.

The plot thickens.

I understand the angle the EFL were shooting in order to try and guarantee the fixture, but I think it's quite blatantly obvious they asked LOFC to contact LOFT re the medical bills.

Good old EFL doing their usual 'keep em going until its the conference problem' approach.

Rather than do ANYTHING meaningful they just try to keep it going until it ain't their mess to bother with.

Mind it has scraped new lows when they demand fans to sort it for them rather than pay themselves.

Time for the entire efl board to be guliven vote of no confidence and removed in my view

Players not paid yet again.

The f**king EFL have just asked the Fans' Trust to pay medical bills (St John's Ambulance etc.) for the rest of the season. Useless c***s. As if we're going to bail out Becchetti. Monday's game vs. Hartlepool is in serious doubt.
I read about this earlier, this is not why fans of other teams chucked money in buckets for LOFT. The Football League should hang their heads in shame for their lack of action over what the owner has been doing to the club,i bet if it was a Championship in the same position they would have done much more to help.

You'll be pleased to note that LOFT have told the EFL to do one.

Heard today that the deal is close to being completed - Hence why Becchetti has been reluctant to pay wages, something still to do with books apparently.

Hopefully its true and we can build and be ready for next season.

The fear now is that Becchetti will still be here next season, even if he cleans his act up and we start on a level playing field the damage is already done.

We could end up like Blackpool this season, attendance wise. Many people now have said they will not set foot in the ground next season until the vile, nasty little prick is gone.
What about you? I know you follow Orient religiously (how many games missed in the last 5 years? One?) but surely your hatred for the owner must mean that any type of cash you pay for the club merchandise is going into Becchetti's pocket (and most likely staying there).

I'll still be there mate, I'd rather be watching us lose 1-0 to Fylde in the Conference than be doing much else!

Interesting article from vice captain Liam Kelly:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nt-vice-captain-Liam-Kelly-calls-FA-help.html

Also Becchetti's bank accounts have been frozen - not sure why or who's done it.........

My mate called the club up in the week to sort his Luton ticket out, asked how things were and the person on the other end of the phone said to him "we can't wait till he leaves" this is a regular employee saying this over the phone to a customer.

This nightmare cannot end quick enough.

I do hope this situation is resolved and quickly. Relegation will be a blessing in disguise.

A lot of teams have been relegated to the Conference in either dire financial straits, or recent financial straits. It gives the club an opportunity for a blank canvas and they can rebuild and be better of it. You can go in and be the big fish and go and actually win lots of games and score lots of goals. That's what happened to ourselves and Cambridge amongst others. Obviously Leyton Orient are in a more immediate financial situation as we were; more of the Darlington situation, but Orient are a bigger club than they are without a huge stadium to try and maintain.

Short term pain, long term pain.

I'm sure you meant 'gain' in Orient's case but for us the above is quite accurate.

We'd never come back if we went down. Our situation around ownership and ground is similar to Torquay's at the moment. We're better supported than them but as Wrexham have found out, numbers through the gate don't matter does it?

The league has changed a lot since we've been down there. In 3 of the 4 seasons we failed to get promoted, there was one team that went all out spending ridiculous amounts on players, and as such they go and win the league. Crawley, Fleetwood and Mansfield. Not the case any more, apart from Eastleigh, albeit doing it badly. We should've had a big financial advantage. Whilst we did have a big budget, this wasn't always spent wisely and in many cases was spent on dross - Simon Ainge, Collin Samuel, Jamie Hand to name three.

I think for the "bigger" clubs as well, it always helps to get a decent manager in who knows that league - Like you did with John Still, Lincoln did in Cowley and what Tranmere have done with Mellon.

Part of me wants Martin Allen in, part of me doesn't.

We're in alot of debyt right now, the new owner and first team manager will probably have to work on a very tight budget for the next 3 years at least.

You boys avaerage 6k+ crowds, you was always going to get out eventually with sensible planning!

Have any of you folk come across this issue of Asset of Community Value registrations being for leaseholds not the freehold and the consequences if the registration is not correct and complete? It seems to be a key issue in the future survival of Torquay United FC or any future AFC Torquay.

Our council have been very supportive as has Barry Hearn, saying they won't let anything happen to our ground, which of course is good to hear. But money does talk as we know!

Our ACV is properly aligned, as is the sporting covenant.

Looks like the end is near for Becchetti's reign, lots of rumours on Twitter. Plus his London house is up for sale, for a whooping £30million:

http://www.movepig.com/view.aspx?id=873636&pid=131460

Bearing in mind he paid £4million for us 3 years ago and since January has withdrawn all funding and refused to pay nearly all the clubs creditors, bills and more recently, his staff :dis:

*reportedly paid.

Pretty sure that is an outdated listing.

However, a very respected member on our forum has been making noises that Becchetti is very close to selling up with Mr Travis' consortium lining up for the takeover and he expected it to go through this week. So, I'm touching a ton of wood this does happen.

I'm not that well respected...

Had the nod that it was going through today, though.

It seems that the vast majority of clubs who go tits up in terms of losing their league status is entirely due to shit owners. Whether this is down to sheer ineptitude or being a money sucking crook is debatable.

I feel we are well on the way to emulating you guys.

When your owner and CEO disappear for 6 months, decide to sell/release half of your first team players and replace them with your youth team and then decide not to pay all your clubs staff and creditors - Thats the time to panic, as we have found out this season.

Really hoping the rumours that it's a done deal with Travis (Dunkin' Donuts CEO) are true.

The sponsorship does itself: 'The O's' on the middle of the shirt, except obviously the 'o' is replaced by a Donut.

Surely we'll get proper half time refreshments too?
