Hey y'all,
Couldn't see a match thread, so I thought I'd start one instead.
This is the first game of the season where we as fans, and as a club have accepted that reaching the auto places is now beyond our grasp somewhat. It'll be interesting to see how we perform here, given how tight it has become in that top 8 these last two weeks.
Are we too good to drop away from play-off contention?
Probably, yes. However, it is still possible, and the thought of it makes me feel physically sick. This is why I would prefer it if Millwall or Southend missed out, as ourselves, Fleetwood and Scunny in particular have been up there all season.
Anyway, Bury.
Bury aren't out of the mire just yet. It's equally as big of a game for them as it is us. They have a goal threat in Vaughan, but I don't know much about any other Bury apart from Greg Leigh, of whom can consider himself rather unfortunate not to be still apart of the Bantams Familly #hashtag.
We welcome back Nicky Law.... wooooooooo! He's fucking ace.
GK: Colin Doyle, he cost us a quid.
RB: Tony 'mac-man' McMahon
CB: Rory 'McRory' McArdle
CB: Nat Knight 'Sir Percy' Percival
LB: James 'Mezza' Meredith
RM: Ain't nobody, like Mark Marshall
CM: Romain 'Sexy Bastard' Vincelot
CM: We've got Cullen, Joshua Cullen
LM: Nicky Law, Nicky Law, Nicky Nicky Law
ST: Charlie Wyke is magic, he wears a magic hat
ST: Always believe in, Alex Jones.
Att: should be a big one for Bury, this. I'm calling 6,500.
2-1 City
38 goals between Wyke and Jones this season, so should cause more than a few problems for Bury this afternoon.
