Feels like it's taking ages for this to come around. Very much looking forward to having some european football next season, it's been a drag at times having only domestic football.

Confident as you can be with this Liverpool side at home to a weaker team. But even since we hit a good run of form we haven't given any team a proper beating like we did from time to time in the earlier stages of the season. So I can see a 4-0 coming, if not in this one then the next.

On a run of 7 league games without defeat at the moment, including games against Arsenal, City and Everton. Despite Palace's recent resurgence under Allardyce, I'll be disappointed with anything less than all 3 points here, especially with their best defender unable to play. Benteke will be out to make a point though, and is a worry. Reckon we'll deal with him though, as we did with Lukaku.

    2-0.

Benteke is showing the step up to Palace was a good move....i expect nothing less than a brace from this quality striker.

Squad unchanged from West Brom. Well apart from Sturridge being out AGAIN. Bit more hopeful of getting something with this news as when I heard who were all doubtful earlier in the week, I was thinking Klopp may had to have promoted the U-23's to the full first team.

Palace will score, but I'll go with 2 - 1 Liverpool.

C**t. It would appear Benteke is better than Lukaku in the big games.

Seriously fucked off with our ability against this type of team. I realise Palace recently beat both Chelsea and Arsenal, but we should have fucking had this game, especially with their best defender unable to play.

We've just given United a foot into the door of top 4. Their game against City this week is massive, really need City to bounce back from their semi defeat against Arsenal and win that.

Well that was a load of bollocks. At least Lallana will be back for next match to give Liverpool a bit more options.

A team that that should be higher getting results without a shit manager, what a shock.

    I don't even celebrate a win at a field anymore, it's a common demeanour

It's kind of on par for us really, by now this feels like a reminder how far there is to go rather than the two steps backwards it should be. It's what we do, not too downhearted, we'll follow it up with a couple of wins. It feels like we'll finish on 76 points plus minus one almost no matter what, so it comes down to how the rest of the teams do.

Considering United have 5 first team players out for the rest of the season and 2 games a week for the next month I'd suggest we will inevitably fall short.
If we somehow manage to sneak top 4 Liverpool or City will have fucked up badly.

We ran out of ideas. We're really missing Mane, Lallana and Henderson. Wijnaldum had one of this worst games which left Can and Lucas in the middle just giving the ball to Coutinho and hoping for the best.

We need some recruitment in the summer. A couple of injuries should not be an excuse if you're looking to get top 4.

The style of football has gone stale since the Man City home game and it's been inconsistent. Ironically, the last comfortable win we had against a team outside of the top 7 was on 27 December against Stoke.

I sympathize with Klopp yesterday as the bench was very limitless and he did try and mix it up a bit with ideas but you could tell it was more out of hope rather than expectation. Top 4 is now out of our hands. We now have to rely on others as well as ourselves, it may be a bit too much of an ask with this inexperienced squad.

I wasn't very confident going into this fixture even given the last two results but still thought we'd take something. We had no idea what to do once they came back in the game.

Fair play to Benteke. I don't begrudge him this revenge and even enjoyed the "non-celebration with a cheeky smile" celebration. Palace have a good side and I think Big Sam could really do something once hes got a Summer behind him.

Utd and City have massive fixtures to come and we don't. There are no excuses for us not to make top 4.

Yeah its not a deathknell result, but Liverpool pretty much have to win every game to ensure CL football, and it's too tight to call. What will be annoying is if they miss out again which will mean another two seasons before they can then kick on imo.

With United's injuries and Europa League tie/s I think they would do very well to make it into the top four (notwithstanding that they will probably beat us). You can probably afford to drop more points (not many...)

It's a ridiculous situation really. I look at our remaining 4 fixtures, and I'm confident of all 3 points in only one of them, namely Boro at home on the final day. I should have confidence with all of them.

There is absolutely zero excuse if we fail to get that top 4 spot, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened simply because I wouldn't be surprised if we lost more than one of the remaining fixtures given our complete lack of a plan b when a team takes the game to us combined with three of our best four players being injured. We've already proven that all of the upcoming 3 fixtures against Watford, Southampton and West Ham are losable.

Out of all the big clubs we have the best record against the other big clubs, by far. Out of all the big clubs we have the worst record against middtable and below, by far. It's a piss take.

Which is why qualifying for the CL this season is a must, so they can bring in better standard of players to ensure they can beat the supposed lesser teams on a more regular occurrence; and of course to try and push on and be more competitive in all competitions.
