Shit performance against a team in shit form you say, I feel your pain.

Well you’ve maybe helped us for next week by getting that monkey of Stevenages back as we’d be nailed on to end their winless run!

We do shit like this all the time unfortunately, couple of seasons ago Crewe were on an 11 game winless run so we went there and lost 5-0. :lac:

We did manage that at Crewe when they had zero points actually! Plus the only team Macc beat in the second half of the season they went down... ended Morecambes run last season and Bradford who’d won 1 in 21 or something a few years back.

It’s as predictable as it is frustrating!

Much needed win after trying to draw our way to the end of the season.

Chris Eubank is going to jump in front of a train.

You killed Chris Eubank, Askey.

Vassel is an utter ring piece and is very lucky to still have an unwired jaw after his behaviour at the end.

Yeah not sure what that was all about, we gave him his chance in the EFL. Silly as Macc can’t afford the fine if the referee reports that scuffle!

We got what we deserved fuck all embarrassing another shite away performance. Those players should donate there wages to the macc players as there the ones that deserve them.
Next 2 away games are at Bradford and crewe cant see anything other than heavy defeats there might concede 10 goals from them 2 away games.

Alot was said pre game about Vales following, even Askey was at it.
Needless pressure on the Vale players in my opinion. Especially as there was an odd expectation of an away win.

Macc of this time last year maybe, but this team has been a pain in the arse for some of the best teams in the league this year, other than Swindon but to be fair the lads were still steamed from the night before.

I dont know what happened but apparently it involved vassell and the keeper and it wasn't drunken jobs complaining on the praise and grumble phone in about it our supporters club chairman mentioned it when he phoned in.

What happened? I missed that...

He was taunting the Vale fans at the end and then instantly shit himself when some of our players reacted.

Bit harsh when our fans have paid his wages this month probably!

A Vale fan actually threw £20 at Jak McCourt bizzarely at the end and he took it!

Interesting logic. Pay admission fees, watch your team lose, then throw additional money matching the price of admission onto the pitch.

I'm still fuming about that. We just didn't seem up for it at all and Macc looked pumped. Won the battle in midfield.

Why we chose to completely change the tactics that have worked for us by playing a completely different formation and lumping it to two big lads with no plan.

Make no mistake, this was up there with one of our worst performances over the last three years and there are some real contenders.

Not one person emerged with credit and it's no overreaction to state that I have lost quite a lot of trust in Askey today. Firstly he got his tactics completely wrong at a ground that he should know and secondly he made subs way too late (which has become a trend). He's lost a lot of positive credit from me because that was abysmal.

It sounds like he go it badly wrong today, and not for the first time. Our away form needs some serious looking at, as today was an opportunity missed. Lets hope we can put it right against Stevenage at home.

Can’t put my finger on it as despite being shit under Aspin we didn’t lose many away but we’re getting walloped at home, now we are flying at home but can’t get a win for love nor money away... and we’ve been seconds away twice in the 7!

Seem to take the lead away (5 times now from those 7) but then not have the nous to hold on to it. Tactics? Confidence? Need to get to the bottom of it soon.

I was going to say Vassell has set himself for 90 minutes of hell but just checked and the return game isn’t until January. Chris Eubank doubts they will still be trading then.

All those yellow seats at Vale Park will be very intimidating for Theo.

Tactics, lack of subs at the right time, and just a lack of ability to see out a game has cost us dearly away from home. Aspin surely had a better record away from VP?

I think we’ve about conceded as many this season away already than in the whole of last season...

Good at least to see Pope and Carol come out and pledge to put today right at least. The fans came out in force and for literally 9-10 of them to be off their game was very disappointing with that level of backing today.

Askey didn’t really sit well with me today in his interview, failed to acknowledge his complete failure at a ground he should know well enough to set the team up correctly at to compete.
