Don't see how we can lose this one tbh.

Expecting nothing less than free flowing attacking football from Newcastle because Wolves proved you can fluke a draw with this lot if you spend £100m, build an attacking squad with depth and options and attack Man City.

Poor old Newcastle, terrible fixture when you are desperate for some points to turn around a bad start to the season. As if things weren't bad enough going out to Forest in the cup can hardly have improved the humour of the long suffering Barcode fans.
Man City seem to have got themselves in the enviable position where they don't play poorly even when they drop points. Pep has confounded my prediction/hope that he'd be found out in the Prem, which is highly competitive....except when anyone plays Man City! He's a class act; not showy or aggressive, or boastful (take note Mourinho) and annoyingly good as a manager.

Man City 3 Newcastle 0

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Good start from Raheem

Far too attacking by Newcastle to let Sterling in.

Pep has his moments and, to use a recent Manchester City example, never approaches Pellegrini levels of placidity or gentlemanly conduct.

Did you see when he lambasted his own medical staff at pitchside when he was the manager at Bayern?

He's given countless prickly interviews too.

He's getting everything his own way so far in the Premier League and is relaxed as a result.

The approach was far too attacking by Newcastle today I think.

You have more knowledge of his "pre-City" career, so I accept I may have an overly rosy view of him. I guess anyone looks gentlemany next to Mourinho!

Pep can be very tetchy when things aren't right. We've even seen it here in his first season at City.
