Simple really, who has stood out as being the manager of the season? Vote in the poll and we can find out who is 1FF's Championship manager of the season.

Got to be Eddie Howe. Taking Bournemouth up as champions is a brilliant achievement.

Brentford's play-off finish is even more impressive than Bournemouth's promotion, so Warburton for me.

Definitely Warburton for me. I expected Bournemouth to be a force this season, not as champions but I thought they'd be up there.

Brentford however, wow. Warburton has done a great job, got them playing some very good football. He even managed to not let the farce over him leaving affect the performances on the pitch after a mini-blip at the time rumours were flying around.

Got to be between those two. Although there's something to be said for Watford's management by council ;)

Gary Rowett should be added to that list. Birmingham were an absolute mess before he took over

Warburton for me.

Think McCarthy would make third, behind him and Howe.

Mark Warburton - superb achievement.

Happy for him - he certainly won't struggle to find another job in management when he leaves Brentford.

Between Warbs and Howe for me. Both gone a very very good job.

Sure some would have expected Bournemouth to be up there, but to have done it, as Champions, and in such style, superb management. Huge fan of his.

Warbs has been amazing. Can't believe we are letting him go, but have to trust the owner, always been proved right so far. To come 5th and do it playing amazing football, with almost every player a complete novice to the Championship, best season of my life.

Honourable mention to Jokanovic, he's done a great job to take them up. They may have one of the strongest squads, but to go up after the bad luck they had with managers early in the season, with a squad full of other people's players, should probably be manager of the season most other years.

I'd pick Eddie Howe just ahead of Warburton, been some very good contenders this season though.

While not manager of the season (possibly not even in the top three either), Alex Neil deserves a mention at least. Table since his arrival:

I think he would definitely have been in with a shout had he done a full season, or even 10-15 games more. Trouble is most of the managers of the top teams would have had a run similar to that at some point this season.

Has to be Lee Clark. Legend. Is there a table somewhere showing his managerial performance? I would imagine it's woeful.

Warburton for me. Howe, McCarthy and Jackett are strong contenders too and Neil has been great in his half season at Norwich.

McCarthy for me, spent far less than any other club in the top 6. As much as Howe and Warburton have done amazing jobs they've hardly had peanuts to spend.

Was tempted to go for Howe until I saw they spent 18m on wages LAST season. How that managed to pass FFP with a 10m turnover I'll never know!

So instead went for Warburton because despite knowing he's getting the sack, he still kept his team together to make the play offs!

I sense a run on Lee Clark coming in the voting. Bear in mind he's kept Blackpool playing despite having a lot less than £18 million to spend on wages. Or fish or shit. And until the very last game, he didn't have anyone on the pitch using a mobility scooter. And they have kept three clean sheets since January which is quite a remarkable feat given their team. Legend.

I really like what Brentford are doing (shame it's ended badly for Warburton).
For a slighty left field choice, the turn around in Birmingham under Gary Rowett is simply remarkable. If he keeps that rate of prgression up (a big ask I know), they will be serious contenders next season.

17m, to be pedantic, and for the entire club not just players. If we do take it as the playing budget for a second, and compare it to the last report covering the whole division a couple of years ago, it puts us bang slap midtable.

Totally accept that he hasn't done it on thin air and buttons mind.

But your fans were telling us we were top 6 with a 14m wage bill. Either we've had a massive increase or your in the top 5 in the league. I suspect the latter considering most of our signings this year you wouldn't have heard of.

Our 14m is the whole club also. As you can probably tell, I'm not taken by the whole fairy-tale story

I would simply suggest that Bournemouth fans don't really know details of Ipswich's wage bill!
One stat which provides an interesting context/comparison... according to Leicester's accounts they won the league last season with a wage bill of over 36m for the season...
