The only way Eastleigh could be any more hilarious would be if they end up getting relegated as well.

How much money must they have wasted? Sam Elliot from the NLP tweeted "Martin Allen leaves Eastleigh. If it's a sacking, he will never have to work again. We're talking a mega contract."

The cynic might think all this was completely manufactured.

Since I went on my rant about him and what he's doing wrong, he's changed all that and we're currently on 7 wins out of 8 for 2017 with 1 draw, including 5 clean sheets! We went from 11 points behing the leaders to top on goals scored. Currently second, two points behind. Still not 100% convinced by him... but he's slowly winning me over.

Besides, this is the same guy who said McMahon was favourite for the Orient job and also that we were signing Jordan Willis and Marcus Tudgay from Coventry, both of which didn't have an ounce of truth in them.

Why would McMahon move now though? He's already at a club with a big budget, and has a good chance of adding a title/promotion to his cv. Eastleigh are going nowhere this season, unless they somehow go down, they're in a mess.

If Ebbsfleet come up, they'll probably be in just as strong a position to challenge next season as Eastleigh will be.

We'd need 2 or 3 additions and McMahon to stop being so negative in his tactics to even be in a position to challenge should we go up. If we finish in the play offs, we won't even go up.
