well yeh, but you know what i mean! it's still a bit of a comedown after a triumphant day at turf moor in the 5th round of the fa cup
Yeah, apparently there were Lincoln fans sat on the walls behind the goals because there was so little space. Ferriby's ground ain't exactly Turf Moor.

Crikey. Daylight robbery but I'll take it. Another week of keeping the pace until we can hopefully field our best team. Very glad the Lincoln game is postponed as I don't think we'd have been in shape to beat them Saturday.

Who remembers Sid, from TFF?

He was this evenings pitch invader.

Good results for the bottom teams who didn't play tonight.

Perfect game for Lincoln to play Ferriby - they probably could have won with a complete reserve team.

We'll beat FGR on Saturday to put them out the title race. Garry Hill is staying up 72 hours straight to watch footage of their matches this season. He mentioned FGR straight after the game against Southport - amazing!

That was the fastest goal i've never seen, was still walking up the steps into the Kop stand when Cookie scored after 33 secounds.
I thought Borehamwood were half decent so its a good 3 points for us. On the downside Tollitts injury looks quite bad.

We've cunningly rarely played the same team twice to throw Gary off the scent.

He doesn't need to. We always lose to you at least once a season. Seeing as we won at Kingfield, Saturday is a fomality.

And you wont put us out of the title race. We're already out of it. :bdick:

York down surely

We're not down, we're dead.

Anybody who wants to visit Bootham Crescent and still have a game against us, I'd advise you do so, the club will cease to exist, it isn't going to survive in the Conference North.

Sadly my boycott will continue, I doubt I'll ever see a YCFC game ever again.

Played well last night, and coped with the blustery conditions much better than York did, just got to keep on the coat tails of the top 4 , however at the moment we look solid across the team, with even a good bench, that's a kiss of death mind 8 0 defeat next game, !!!! I think York will go down, talking to a few of their lads last night , and seems to be an air of doom and gloom around the ground, just my take and could be well wrong

Dead? Couldn't you just cut your budget and try and engage the local community to rally around or something, you've got a decent size fanbase and would be favourites to come straight back up. Kiddy and Halifax are making a decent fist of it, and Fylde will be out of the way.

We can't financially survive being in the Conference long term, if we're in Conference North we will be dead, or a joke of a shell of a club on a pitiful budget, too much debt, too much reliance on a new stadium that would only be downgraded and made much smaller by the penny pinching council who've dragged their heels on it for years.

I'm sure we MIGHT limp along for a bit, but with McGill as chairman, we're going one way and one way only. Not because he is malicious or wants it to happen, but because he's stubborn and unwilling to accept help outside his trusted circles.

How much have you spent this season? The turnover in players seems very high. I see some talk on your forum about having one of the biggest budgets in the league. What the hell has happened?!

It's all very sad. I like York. Proper team and a nice away destination.

We understand what it's like having been down here for some time, never having finished above half way and often flirting with getting dragged into a relegation battle. Only thing I can say is don't give up, you still get decent crowds and you can come back from this, I think you will, if we can do it, so can you.

Allegedly we were looking at "performance based" contracts with an emphasis on rewarding good form and performances, whether that ever really transpired I don't know but it'd explain the abysmal quality of player we managed to attract, we've probably spent quite a lot, I'm pretty sure the board still think we'll make it out, I severely doubt it.

Oh Mills did something similar with us this season. The infamous 30 game clause. Which is why Rooney has just gone to Guiseley.

Unfortubately it does look a bit bleak. It's strange because there are decent players in your team. Or at least players who have performed decently in other teams in the past.

Feel massively for York, we'll be where they are this time next year if we don't fold by then.

Hope you stay up, the York games are always one we look forward to.

York haven't got too bad a run-in on paper. Could certainly have been worse.

Us, FGR and Dagenham, but Woking, Southport, Sutton Braintree, Solihull as well.

Don't really know where to post this, so since it happened on Tuesday may as well put it here. Strong rumours Tollitt has done his ACL and is out for 6 months+. REALLY hope it isn't true but it would just compound our awful luck this season. The fact we're 4 points off top is actually a miracle given the long term injuries to major players from September onwards.

As for York, scarily similar to us in our L2 season, even down to the mid-season mini-revival. I think what works against them is the fact that you have to find 4 teams worse than you to stay up in this league and you only need to find 2 in L2 (neither of us managed it, we finished bottom!). OK, so NFU are gone but you still need to find 3 sides worse. 5 wins all season is just not going to cut it.

And therein lies the problem. We probably need another 6 wins and we're rapidly running out of games. We are also getting draws in home games that ought to be winnable, and while we're capable of playing very well we only seem to be able to do it for 45 minutes at best.

Yep out for the season, horrible news for the lad, and for us. Big shoes for fill for either Dawson or Mekki who wont be match fit.

Haven't you got like 20 attacking players to bring in for him anyway?
