Agreed. A very peculiar set of fans, as evidenced on this forum also.

hahahaha that second Barnet goal. Poor Jake Cole....what chance has he got playing with that shower.

WHO R YA!

Such a shame that a goal like that cost us a point. Both at fault in my opinion. Cole should have given him a shout, maybe he did but it didn't look like it in real time, and Jones should have looked and passed it outside the width of the goal so that if it had rolled under his foot or something it would have been a corner. It was nice to see Ricketts as captain speaking to Jones telling him to keep his head up after it happened. He actually had a decent game, Jones, before and after the 'incident'.

The Woking forum is hilarious.

Odd bunch of fans, suspect there was a fair bit of Peruvian marching powder involved in Woking's massive day out.

On a serious note, our Yoof were a bit more Green Street-y that usual today but the introduction of the riot police was silly and made them feel even more as if they were the main stars in the filming of Green Street 4. Someone on our forum shared a similar opinion to mine... The stewards, by and large, were handling things pretty well and there were enough of them to deal with it. No one had gone on the pitch and no punches had been thrown. When riot police arrive, they are under the impression that a riot is occurring or going to happen imminently which was quite clearly not the case here. So then when they did turn up they were a lot more 'up for it' than the situation needed which inflamed things. God knows what Barnet are going to do in the event of hosting a play-off semi-final against a 'big' club.

Why do you think it's the club that called them? That little mob were embarrassing themselves and I suspect it was the police who called for additional police.

Why are Woking such a detestable little club? Constantly give it the big bollocks and how no one's fans can match up to their mighty 550.

Maybe Barnet only got 1500 for a 'local derby' because quite frankly they don't give a s**t about Woking?? The whole club just screams tinpot, can't even get away fans in their ground, you'd think when your opponents bring 2600 they would try to accommodate them, not lock 400 out. You'd think they'd want the money - and the crowd. Must have been like watching a world cup final :bye:

And you still couldn't even beat little tinpot Woking. We'll done on spanking the biggest budget in the league to score 44 goals in 33 games.

I'd rather score 44 and be second then score however many you have and be 6th? Conceded 26 in 33 too. Not bad eh.

What's the feeling now DSL? Must be feeling positive given how you've closed the gap.
Feeling pretty positive about things after yesterday. Had you asked me at HT I was very concerned. We could create any clear cut chances and were very one dimensional. That Second half changed everything though. Yesterday was massive yes and a giant step in the right direction however the fact remains we were still very suspect at the back against a Team who had yet to score in the calendar year. Yesterday could very easily had been very different.

The equation is simple now 6 wins in our final 15 should be enough 7 to be sure.

Big game on Saturday at the Rec Aldershot v Welling

Was it the worst Barnet side he's ever faced?

I thought it was a decent interview. He provided an opinion on the red card and penalty from what he saw from the other side of the pitch but said that he'd have to wait to watch it again before jumping to any real conclusions about appealing it. He could have said he didn't see it like Wenger does but it's not what the fans or press would have wanted. I don't see where the problem is?

It was nice to read in Martin Allen's programme notes talking about his good relationship with GH and the number of great battles he had with him when he was at Dagenham.

And then went on to basically say the ref has a personal vendetta against McNerney and was looking for any opportunity to send him off. Effectively saying the ref had an agenda and saying it was pre-planned to target him? I'd be looking very carefully at that interview if I was the ref.

'Basically say' so he didn't say actually say it and it's just want you've concluded? Ok then.

It's the conclusion I came to. The Woking manager claims the referee made sure he punished the Woking player for his failure to send him off earlier in the season.

I read that as you should have been down to 10 in the last game and so it's karma that you lost that man yesterday.

Big game on Saturday at the Rec Aldershot v Welling

Sure is. We were soundly beaten at Welling just before Christmas and after another gutless defeat yesterday I am really struggling to see us win this one. Three points above the drop having played more than most of those behind us and in a terrible run of form... I think this month will define our season, starting with Welling on Saturday.

So he should have pretended it was a blatant red card to please people like you on an Internet forum?

It was outside the box and never a red. I'm sure if the same incident happened in a Grimsby game Hurst wouldn't complain at all would he?

Could you imagine what all the Football League rejects would be like if it had happened to them? We wouldn't hear the end of it. It's actually a good thing it was us. Phew!

I thought not penalty at first, then watched it again thought blatant, and Akinde was heading straight to the corner of the 6 yard box, so correct red.

He was wider than the 6 yard box. If that's a red then pretty much any foul in the box should be a red.
