Heart catheter went well. The Professor could open the chronically closed artery and he set 5 stents. what a mess it was after it, my groin area looked like i was butchered (one of his assistants made the joke) .It lastet nearly 3 hours from 4:15 pm til 7 pm . Now I have to lay on the back for even12 hours without putting weight on the left side where they went through the groin. Every hour a (male) nurse had to check if the pressure tape is still intact. Doesn't matter because I can't sleep ynyway (that's why I write this post, lying on the back and holding the tablet above). It is nearly 12 pm so i have already reached 5 of the 12 hours....
Nobody of the female gender there going by the name of Bobbit per chance ?

Chin up Dirk....

Sounds like you're having a rough time Dirk, take care. Hey - fingers crossed for more female doctors.

Hey guys,

I am back home today. :bdick: :D
All is well so far, cardiac output went up 10% even without rehabilation (which I'll start on July 10th for 3 weeks and I'll expect that it will go up after this again. Maybe not quite where it was before but way better than 2 months ago). The only setback so far is that I have to swallow the blood thinner Marcumar because the thrombus in the left ventricle isn't yet all vanished. I'll have an ambulance date in November at the Cardiology to control this.

I am really happy about all and thanks to all of you for your good wishes. Helped a lot :hail:

My "last" update:

I am fit as a fiddle again, officially approved by my docs at the (ambulant) medical rehabilitation which I had from 10th July until last Friday (4 weeks).
Ergometer-training, muscle training, running, walking every day....when I came home every evening I was finished for the day and nearly fell asleep while eating dinner :D
But the results are overwhelming, no heart irregularities even under extreme load in a stress test (exercise EKG), blood pressure and heart rate in normal regions.
And I lost some kilograms again, too. Now I have back my "fighting weight" that I had during my years in the Army back in the 80's. Damn, that feels good!!!! Life is good (and the German Healthcare).

Happy again, just wanted to let you know
