Stupid opinions from people who haven't got a clue about the situation are part and parcel of being in a public mess, however annoying it is. You don't fall this far this fast without the blame lying at what's going on at the top. I don't have the time to go into everything that's gone off, but yea the blame absolutely lies with the club ownership and management
There's a whole thread i've been updating for my own amusement for him to read if he can drag himself off the Xbox or whatever for 10 minutes

Sadly this is exactly what happened with York and Stockport, although the issues seem far worse than the general ineptitude that ruined those clubs.

Orient looked in the same way when they came down but to be fair the managed to get rid of the person who was the problem, and rebuilt.

Today and Saturday was a shocker and I think we’ll be lucky to stay up. Money is experimenting a lot and feels like him and the club are pre seasoning it ahead of another manager in charge next season. I haven’t been massively impressed by him or his team selections and tactics, can’t see this working out but let’s see.

This squad are seriously poor, very samey all over the park, Money recognises that but his post match comments were just fucking bizarre. Can’t believe we’ve lost a game to Gateshead, just another low in a never ending vortex of hopelessness.

Did you go yesterday? I gave my ticket away, woke up and couldn't be arsed.

Was told Newton found himself upfront at times, Magnay in centre midfield, Muir isolated up top on his own, I get it, Money is trying different systems and players out and seeing the shite for himself but we're the ones suffering having to continually watch this shit.

I'm no Hignett fan but his two games in charge (bar the 2 minute Daggers disaster) he played a team which suited us down to the ground, 3412, Hawkes behind two strikers, we were an attacking threat and played decent passing football.

I'd wrote this season off as a mid table finish a few weeks ago, but Pools being Pools if we don't start picking up wins soon starting at Chesterfield we will find ourselves at the arse end of the league again and I have no confidence in most of this squad that they'd be up for a relegation scrap.

Any chance of you going fan owned? With your fan base you should do fine.

We have before, when the club nearly disappeared last time. There's a lot more money involved this time, but there's a consortium talking about it so fingers crossed

Good luck to you, the away game at your place gave me a subtle reminder of what playing in the Football League was like.

Allen has gone now, and his staff. This is a bit like trying to rearrange the deck chairs while the titanic is going down

Becoming fan owned is the way to go for clubs with a decent fan base, like Chesterfield. It helps you to strip out a huge amount of cost from the club. At the moment you will be making huge losses because the club is being run in a very inefficient way. This is completely unsustainable but there is no reason you can't live within your means.

We were in the same boat at Wrexham before becoming fan owned. The club is now essentially run by people doing the job for free, with lots of buy in from the local community which means that things like ground maintenance are done more cheaply - it's been a really long, hard slog but after being on the absolute brink we have our ground back (albeit leased rather than owned), we have plans for a new permanent training ground after having our previous one stolen from us, we are now debt free and we are profitable. We are lucky that we have some fantastic, well qualified people running our club who do not receive a penny in compensation. They just love the club. Also, because we are fan owned, people feel much more of a connection to the club, and our fanbase has grown, despite some, quite frankly, rubbish seasons in our time in this league.

As for consortiums, with some people owning more than others - my personal view is that the best way to organise this is through a supporters trust and for the club to become a co-operative, on a one member, one vote basis. Everyone feels that the club is theirs, and the combined ownership becomes the club's "sugar daddy" in perpetuity.

The difficult thing is persuading your owner to leave. The answer is to organise and then to protest, protest and then protest some more. Demonstrate at his house, disrupt his businesses, publicise what is going on; do whatever it takes to make him absolutely desperate to walk away and to take whatever you offer to him. Lots of other shady chancers will come out of the woodwork to try and take over the club. You need to make them feel unwelcome too and make yourselves the only game in town.

You'll get people telling you that protesting will backfire. It won't. Ignore them and then redouble your efforts to make your current owner feel unwelcome.

Good luck.

The protests certainly aren't backfiring - we've made national news in consecutive weekends and forced things to start to move already.

There is a fans consortium with the cash waiting in the wings - they have low balled with a first offer apparently but do have the funds to go higher. Allen has so far refused to talk to interested parties unless they are convenient to him (dont ask to see the books basically)

Good to hear.

We made things extremely uncomfortable for our last two owners (both of them carpet baggers and asset strippers).

What tipped them over the edge was regularly visiting their homes to (legally) protest and explain to their neighbours what was going on.

Also regularly visiting their businesses, and contacting their business associates and suppliers, to make them aware of what kind of people they were associating with.

It sounds harsh but you have to make his life hell.

I think the campaign to the main Director Ashley Carsons day job, the Sheffield Assay Office definitely isn't going down well. He resigned today, but has retained his shares, his director role etc so a bit of a PR stunt by the club / him to try and deflect some of the attention away from them.

The heat is well and truly on.
