The only way I can see anyone stopping Salford running away with it this early on, is by winning all their games in October because Salford have Dover and Braintree as their next two games. Ourselves, Wrexham and Harrogate being the main chasing pack so far.

We have all winnable games on paper this month, but a tricky November with away games at Fylde and Wrexham.

I'd still say our aim is to get a playoff place, but we should set ourselves to finish 2nd/3rd.

Maidenhead is an awkward place to play due to the small size of their pitch and the long grass. Due to their part time status combined with their experienced manager, they always seemt to pull out some very results at times, as well some complete stonkers - Their 7-1 loss at Gateshead last season being a good example.

Not sure how we will react to our first loss. I'd make three changes - I'd bring back Sam Ling, James Brophy and start Dale Gorman.

I think Orient should have too much for Maidenhead. We desperately need defensive reinforcements and our makeshift defence got torn apart by Salford at times.

I'd like to see a defender arrive on loan today. On the attacking side I hear we've recalled Ravi Shamsi from his loan at Banbury. Very gifted winger who has been held back by a poor attitude so far, he has the potential to cause complete havoc at this level. Could do with a wildcard like him against the better teams.

Maidenhead seem to play at home every weekend. Every highlights show I see that tinpot stand with M-A-I-D-E-N-S-T-O-N-E or whatever they are called written on it.

How many Salford fans are likely to turn up?
Not enough to outnumber the dwindling home support?

I’ve gone Salford/Harrogate double at 4/1. Harrogate at 2/1 is a great price. As for us we’ll draw

Need to win. Probably won't.

As usual, we get absolutely zero news about when our army of indefinitely injured players might start to return. We desperately need some reinforcements if we want to find any sort of consistency.

It's gonna be another typical Pools home performance tomorrow, lots of possession, little end product, tinpotters get themselves a goal after peppering us for the entire second half, bored to tears.

Aye it hasn't been good to watch recently, I find it hard to criticise Bates or the team after all the shite we went through last season cos they're doing a good job of things, we'd of been loads better off points wise if we'd put teams to bed when dominating games at home.

Not counting the playoff final, last time we won a league derby was way back in January 2016 against Margate. Pile money on the Bromley double result.

Looking forward to visiting one of our brother clubs today. Clubs like ours have a bond that no mere Tin Potter can even begin to imagine.

know nothing of Havant or what to expect, guess they're in the bottom 4 for a reason...

Can't see Salford dropping points at Dover, so need to notch up another win

Haven't heard a lot about Sutton this season, so not sure what to expect. Looks like they might have a few key injuries and may be a bit preoccupied with their upcoming trip to Ireland to play Bohemians, so maybe we can get a good result.

We're capable of beating anyone at home, but also equally capable of pissing away points. In high spirits, and players starting to gel, so hopeful of e points, but mindful that we usually lose when we're feeling optimistic.

It’s been 11 games since our last win, surely we manage a horrible to watch 1-0 home win today which keeps Allen in his job for another miserable week.

I agree with Salford at Dover - If it wasn't for the Dover keeper Barrow would have won 5 or 6 nil last week... and when was the last time an away side had 83% of the possession in a game in this league. If Salford have their shooting boots on it could be embarrassing for Dover today.

The unique bond of going bust and reforming as a new club about 5 divisions down. Chester and Darlington are both in this particular family of brothers too.

Fylde are probably one of the worst teams you can play then - If Danny Rowe can be arsed about the game he'll score

When you get here, go to turnstile 4 at the front of the ground. Don't go up the hill as that entrance won't be open.

Aahh can it get better than this, back from 10 days in Lakshadweep to Boreham Wood at home. Don't know where it is? Google it.... (obviously I'm talking about Boreham Wood)

Think the bond he's talking about is that both of them played in the glue leagues at one point.
