It’s been a pleasure lads.
Hopefully a few years in the South will do us a bit of good and sort our club out.
No game now until the 19th and wouldn’t be surprised if we have a new manager by then.

In the end we should've won by more, as both sides grew more tired we found more chances with the spaces Dagenham left. Koroma should've sqaured his chance at the end.

Dagenham created very little in open play - Cannot remember Dean Brill making a save, but were tough to get at like they was on Boxing Day.

A scrappy game, settled by a scrappy goal.

Both sides out on their feet by the end, can't grumble from the effort both sides put into that game.

In the boards eyes, Waddock is probably seen as unsackable because of what he has done.

Calling it now, the bottom 4 will be us, Maidenhead, Maidstone and Braintree

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
What a pile of shite. 2 panic-stricken defences, 2 useless sets of forwards, more "up and unders" than a rugby league match. Maidenhead at least know their limitations, and play to them. Shots now can't cope with the physical or technical teams. Pathetic. Doomed.

First half nothing at all between the two teams until Orient scored from very poor defending, thought Wilkinson could have done better trying to lob Brill not sure about the offside goal. Second half not in it we looked really tired as we did against Barnet. That run we’ve had should keep us up but a defeat at home against Boreham on Saturday would see the doubts return. How shite is orients home support, top of the league and 5,000 mutes.

6 points from the 4 Xmas games is enough for me.

No worries, you can walk back in one go from the South. It's the North that's the death trap. :ds:

Ah yes, the offside goal, I must admit I wasn't too sure about that myself.

Our home support has never been loud

I will agree with you on that, the Conference South is very, very weak - Torquay are slowly finding their feet now and they have problems behind the scenes still.

The North is a proper death trap, some decent sides in there IMO.

Bromley again. 3rd time in 18 days (with the possibility of another due to Bromley potentially playing an unregistered player in our FA Trophy tie). And we’re on TV

Am hoping this is the last we see of each other for a while. The FA Trophy mess should be resolved this week.

My instinct was there was no offside but I can’t be sure. Think you deserved it today though. After the first goal, we didn’t offer much and you hit the woodwork a million times.
I’ll happily take 3 pts from our 2 encounters.
Brophy is a good player from your lot.

A decent draw for us today means we have 8 pts from 12 this Christmas, from games against Solihull, Salford and Fylde x2. Eight unbeaten as well, and instead of worrying about relegation the aim now has to be a push for the play-offs.

I didn't go today but was stunned that you failed to beat us, especially after seeing our lineup with carthorse Bird up front.

It says a lot that you have only managed a point from two games against us while Braintree walked all over us on Saturday.

Waddock surely has to be on thin ice now - whatever he's done for you previously he's put you in serious danger of going down.

I also think that will be the bottom 4 though Havant may get sucked in.

We played much better again today. Still many problems with the quality and pace of what we do, but I cannot day enough how nice it is to watch this style of football now over the awful shite we’ve had dredged up over the last season and a half - Allenball and Stillball are just awful.

A number of our players were making the kind of mistakes that only tired players can make (Johnson and Alexander especially) but I can forgive them that given how tough the festive period fixture list can be. Nearly a whole week to recover and prepare for Sheffield United now.

Borehamwood though - never seen a time more intent on physically imposing themselves on a team than them. Constant shirt pulling, arm holding, head locks at set pieces etc... awful. I noticed that they really targeted our smaller players for some verbal abuse as well (Mason-Clarke and Coulthirst mainly). Worst offenders were Ugwu (whose sole purpose appears to just be a battering ram), Fyfield and Ilesanmi, but they were all at it. Next time anyone plays them - look out for it at throw ins and corners - it’s so obvious when you actually look for it!

How the ref (who had a stinker) didn’t blow up for their handball in the area I don’t know.

A very defining point of the season for Dover today, where Maidstone slightly edge the 1st half , Dover played as not to lose, and again. great use of Subs from Hessie and the last half hour was sheer domination by Dover. and finally we saw them hit the net in net 86th minute....................great feeling amongst the 375 travellers to Maidstones ground today....up to the heady height's of 18th as we stand now ,OK we're not yet out of the mire ,but its looking good, Up north next weekend to long term league members Wrexham

I thought we played awful today. Only the defence had a half decent game. The midfield was sloppy and attack non-existent. Walker and Summerfield had plenty of misplaced passes. Summerfield's set pieces in particular were terrible.

The player's seemed tired so I'm not sure why there were no changes from the previous games. Starting Tolliett would have been a simple choice considering his impact in his previous games.

Aside from this game, our away form is terrible. If we want to catch Orient, that has to change.

Nice way to start the year and round off a positive Christmas period. Always love a late winner and thought we deserved that.
Credit to the gaffa for the changes that’s made the difference recently.

I thought we were OK in the 1st half and limited in the 2nd. Tbh I didn’t think Bromley looked a particularly good side, and it was only a well taken set piece that was the difference, albeit by the better team in the 2nd half.

Bit of Police overkill tonight, I’ve never seen so many at a Sutton game (in the league at least) but perhaps it was sensible keeping the away section behind the goal clear

So now we can add Aldershot to the list of teams ‘definitely getting relegated’ joining Hartlepool, Barnet, Dagenham, Dover, Chesterfield, and Maidstone also doomed going off earlier posts from fans of those clubs.
Didn’t realise there were 7 relegation places up for grabs.

if we can keep hold of Kemy and add a young quick striker to mix things up a bit there has to be a chance if this run continues;- of our remaining 18 matches only 2 are against teams currently in the top 5 - Orient at home and Wrexham away - and we drew the 1st meetings against both of them

There's no better feeling in football than watching the opposition do everything they can to slow the game down, while becoming increasingly physical off the ball, then we score a late winner.

Not only did Bromley win last night, football did too.

We love a draw us. It seems Pemberton has worked some good though. From being battered by Solihull a few games ago, to battling back from being behind twice. We'd have lost that game under Allen I'm sure. Need to picking up wins ASAP mind, but at least Pemberton has us at least trying to pass it
