Why was Barrow appointed as manager? Strange choice. Must of been plenty that wanted that job

More than happy with that tonight and we continue our good start to 2019.
Gaffa has turned around the poor start by going back to 4-4-2 and adding the personnel to fit the system.
Have to say I was a little surprised by Wrexham. Thought we nullified you far too easily for most of that game. Was expecting you to come at us in the second half.

We haven't scored away from home since about 1997, we don't 'come at' anyone.

Bloody hell Wrexham! WTF you playing at. Don’t you dare let Solihull and Salford into the football league.
Solihull can't get promoted with their ground and can't organise a groundshare to get round it.....so I'm not quite sure what's gonna happen with them.

Who wants to get promoted anyway, amirite!?
Could be worse Wrexham, you could be us and not have finished in the top half of any league for 11 years.

Fucking hell, someone should let Dickie Dosh know that we have every right to be an angry and negative club after that factoid, that is depressing.

I was surprised by how comfortable the win was last night. We only really turned it on for the last 25 minutes of the first half and it was enough for the win. Wrexham rarely threatened, and the expected reaction at the start of the second half didn't materialise. It's great to see us finally have a settled team and we are reaping the benefits. 6 wins in 7 now, and into the top half of the table. The longer we keep this run going the better.

We managed that, too. Then we won the league in the 12th season.

Massive 3 points for us yesterday. Not a clue what would happen if we actually did get promoted. Signings of Blissett and Maxwell over the past month suggest to me that we would be allowed up?
I remember hearing that Sutton would have been demoted to the Conferenfe South if they were promoted last season as their plastic pitch wouldn’t have been allowed in league 2. Not sure if that was true though.

Last time we finished in the top half was 06/07 when we finished runners up in L2. That horror run includes 6 lower half finishes in L1, 4 in L2 and one here.

Fucking hell I remember when I wasn't happy with finishing around 16th in L1 seemingly for years on end. What I would give for those days now.

Fucking hell, someone should let Dickie Dosh know that we have every right to be an angry and negative club after that factoid, that is depressing.

The atmosphere around the club is awful, the vitriol aimed at the players since we've been down here is one of the main reasons we never win at home. Still I can understand it, this is a depressing club in a depressing situation which is the culmination of a decade of decline. Money is right, we are negative but we have our reasons. Put something good on the pitch, the crowds will go up and the atmosphere will improve. Over to you Dickie.

Being down here for 10 years is worse than just knocking around the bottom of League Two for the majority of that time, like Hartlepool have. At least you were in the promised land.

You’ll still return before us, we’re here forever.

Actually most of that was bottom half L1 but I get your point.

And on the second point, no we won't.

Also whilst not quite being bottom half.. 6 of our 10 seasons down here have been 10th or below (finished 10th or 11th four times, our beloved positions)

I keep getting baffled by your attendances. I've just taken a look at the 12/13 figures and you were averaging around 2000, what gives?

Them figures were anomalies rather than the norm, though.

A lot of work around that time went into encouraging more families to come to games, which we saw pick up in 2016/17. We have about 2,000 a week turn up in the family area now.

Our CEO recently said that we're one of the only Clubs in the FL who's average age of the fan base is declining and proportionally have one of the higher % of women and children at games.

The rest have always been there but winning games is the be all and end all, really.
