Braintree away - don't remember us having two away wins on the bounce for a long time, but this is a great chance.

Their centre-back Nieskens used to be with us, and he's pretty slow - can see our excellent young forward Smith giving him big problems. Looks like they've been losing key players too, so not sure what state their squad is in right now.

Weather (and the famous Braintree pitch) could be a leveller.
Nieskins left Braintree after a month or so - but judging by Smith's goal their back 4 aren't great pace wise.

He's back there - was released by Quinton then Hayrettin brought him back as soon as he came in.

#Hartlepool Oh my word! :dk:

Heard today that Salford have made a bid for the Messi of the Vanarama Conference Premier. With what we've made on our cup run that should see us safe this season. :ds:

So the evil are already plotting their evil little plans to buy the title in January and picking on poor old Halifax in the process. Modern football, dontcha love it

Highlight of today’s draw for a Sutton supporter (other than the fighting spirit to get a late equaliser) was that academy player Bradley Pearce scored on his first league start

It’s always a close game whenever we play Sutton. They’re a good side, we’re a fairly decent side. It’s been a good week for us picking up 7 points but after conceding so late on it feels like 2 points dropped today.

I've heard at 1-0 a Braintree player tried to help a headed shot which was already going in to an empty net - a goalscorer robbery I suppose you could call it - over the bar.

I've a feeling you've got a say in the title race yet, I don't think I've seen a post from this season saying you've put in a top class performance.

With no match for the U's, I made my occasional pilgrimage to support Barrow, at Braintree, yesterday. The quality of football, especially the first half, was as bad as I've seen for a long time (possibly since the last time at Cressing Road) - that includes a few City games in Southern League Central.

Braintree were dire, with their only threat coming from their set pieces and (many) long throws. Barrow were well organised, motivated and rode the odd bit of luck. However, one bright light shone out - Kemy Augustien. Ian Evatt and Barrow have done well to get his services and I hope he enjoys it enough (and avoids another injury) to stay until May. His class in such modest company flashed only occasionally, including a great free kick, but he won't be at Holker Street for long.

Apparently the pitch was a bit of a culture shock but it was as good as I've ever seen it, despite the soaking.

We’ve been fairly average all season tbh. Can’t really remember watching us this season and thinking ‘we were excellent today’ We lack pace and that’s a first for us

Kedwell scores 35 penalties a season. Around a third of the amount that that Collins gets for Sutton.

Also, just how old is Gary Waddock now. He's got to be pushing 60 so he needs to stop having his hair cut like a 16 year old.

"Morning Gary what'll it be?"
"Just a trim please"
"You could have a Lionel Blair cut like mine"
Lionel Blair doesn't have his hair cut like that."
"He does if he comes here"

That's not us.

Pretty sure it is, old bean. One minute you’re partying at the top o’the league, the next you’re Woking up in the regionals.

Gary Hill said that Aldershot team was the worst one he’s ever seen.

Why are we referred to as Aldershot 1996?
