Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Poor game today at Damson Park, spoiled by gale force wind, and petulant niggling gamesmanship from Solihull, an attitude that eventually dragged the Shots down to their level. Like a lot of kids in the playground.
Don’t usually complain about officials, but the ref was an incompetent homer. ‘Nuf said.
Usual toothless display from Shots forwards; midfield inventive and only source of goals. Ethan Chislett a breath of fresh air, and is surely destined for better things
Moors will probably succeed- pragmatic ,direct , muscular, simple. What a pity almost nobody cares, the ground is as quiet as a graveyard. I won’t go there again, but at least have ticked it off my list.
The Beautiful game, eh.......

As I expected. Our first defeat of the season has led to the usual half dozen members of the Red Passion doom and gloom brigade declare our season over.

Well it was nice while it lasted.

The second penalty Moors got looked very very soft.

You sure it wasn’t just five of them plus Chipmunx?

4 Brothers in the bottom 6 :dis:

Sort it out guys, at this rate I might be forced to reconsider AFC Haliphoenix’s application.
We haven't applied for anything. We don't need to. We are in the only Brotherhood that counts. The one I founded and administer. The original Brotherhood of Great and Historic Football League Clubs. Members are those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986. Membership is for all time. No member may leave, no new members may be admitted.

That is all. :cool1:

In that case then you are correct that there needs to be one club added to the 6 current Brotherhood members.
Congratulations to Aldershot Town.
I did search for an AFC Halifax in 1986 but there is only a Halifax Town, so by your very own rules you accept that AFC Halifax should not be allowed in.
That is all.

Just watched the highlights.

What the hell was Bobby Grant thinking? and to think I saw a couple of Wrexham fans on twitter saying it was a booking at best. Haha madness

Solihull again look good. My 20/1 bet was a great move. Will definitely go close

Why do you never see a single fan on halifax highlights? That big empty council ground does not convey well on tv.

Barnet look a good side again. Been quite impressed with torquay also. Same can be said with woking, who incidentally beat us twice when they got relegated. Awful miss by that dagenham forward. Also, who is the bird that presents the show?

I don't think anyone doubts our ground is too big for us. There's literally nowhere else we could play in Halifax though. It's filmed in the East Stand where fans sit in all fairness. What is it with Fylde fans and having a dig at Halifax btw? All I ever see on Facebook too.

Why dont they film from the other stand? Or can they not? There has been animosity since a few young halifax fans smashed our coaches up. Most of them fylde fans on facebook are clowns anyway. I ain't on facebook but I got shown a post last year where 3 or 4 were slating danny Rowe. I couldn't believe what I was seeing

Really frustrating draw given we were winning until the 87th minute. A defensive error gifted Stockport the goal but as our manager said afterwards we were poor for most of the match. Given how few players and how little money and general resources we have it's going to be a struggle this season.

The problem with filming from the other stand is there's big poles in the way blocking the view. Every club has a few idiots. Believe all ours have been banned now and not been any major issues for a while.

You've just had £500k for the achievement of being relegated.

You are of course correct. Our supporters team did NOT exist in 1986 and was NEVER a member of the Football League.

Anything else, please direct to the FA: 01283 576200.

Cheers :ds:

I think the particular end he is referring to is the AWAY end. His real questions is therefore why do you never see a single away fan on the highlights? :fl:

Our ground isn't too big for us. We'd need 3 current Shays to accommodate our record attendance.

Read the Dover reaction pages on the Wrexham forum - 5 pages but nothing about the game from anyone there

It's the same little group who never go to games but love to stick the boot in as soon as we lose.

Against Boreham Wood they were complaining that Hughes didn't bring on a defender to help see the game out. The same people are complaining he brought on a defender to shore things up against Dover. Both of these things are examples of his inexperience (ignore the fact he had a 29 year professional career at the upper reaches of the English game and worked under some excellent managers, and indeed alongside players who have gone on to become good managers).

RP is a particularly poisonous place at times. As Chipmunx will attest.

I'd rather not. If I want to know what's going on on RP, I'll ask chipmunx.
without having been on RP it's nailed on that it's DOOM, GLOOM and the managers got no plan B and needs sacking soon to save the season...

just imagine how bad it would be if we finished better in the 1st half and hadn't screwed up the 2nd half in match 1... you'd have 1 point and they'd be talking relegation...

Nope, not us. The old Aldershot FC died in 1992 never to be seen again. Aldershot Town FC was then born but was a totally new club, same ground, same colours and same fans, but an entirely different entity. So, thanks for the proposal Mr Fish, but to retain the integrity of the true brotherhood, we must respectfully decline.

As it should be. If only FC Halifax 2008 would accept it too.

Very noble of you Mr. Slaphead and be assured your place in the affiliate organisation of non league members deserving of respect is guaranteed.

With regard to the wider issue of membership, I got this in the post the other day. Hopefully this puts the matter to bed for the season.

#FakeNews

Most of them probably do.
Except for the guy on this forum who keeps making the same boring post.

The word "probably" there tells us you know that's bullshit. :bdick::bdick::bdick:
