In typical Pools fashion we just shit the bed with 10 minutes to play, I dunno how we chucked it away, it felt like a defeat, feel like the ref missed an obvious foul on Kitching in the build up for Fylde's first goal but it matters not anyway.

We must've got a different Gime Toure than the one Sutton were all telling us about, he really is a player, being at a proper club is paying dividends for him.

What was with the attendance, I thought your lot had sold a fuckton of season tickets

We sold just over 3000 season tickets, the walk up prices at Pools are like £18/20, 3222 was the attendance which for a Tuesday night I thought was pretty decent for us.

Dover’s game plan worked perfectly (as shown by yet another late goal) & thought they were a solid outfit.

We are going to see this a lot this season, our ‘pretty’ tippy tappy football shown up by solid teams.

Thought a draw was a fair result but they pushed for the win unlike us so good luck to them.

I have to say the left back Bobby-Joe Taylor was outstanding & MOTM. On that performance I’m surprised he’s not playing higher up.

Toure was half decent for us for the first couple of months.

Maybe he's adjusting to the league after a couple of seasons being here. He has ability on the ball, he just didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing at any point when we had him on trial.

Blimey, I didn’t think Taylor could get any worse how wrong was I. Took off two wingers after 30 mins last night and still didn’t make any impact. Boreham Wood will be up there this season, we on the other hand will be bottom 6-7 with Taylor still around.

Listen everyone back tracking now. You all said toure was shite. Me and a sutton fan said he wasnt. One poster said he'd get a gime Toure tattoo if he hits 20 like I predicted. That's the problem with fans of this division, they would rather see a battering ram of a forward than one with genuine skill

We're only 4 games in. Wind it in.

When he was at Wrexham he was shite, what other basis are we going to have to go off?

He has skill but absolutely no footballing brain. Like a billion other players who won't make it.

Nah look there is a player in there without doubt, but I can already tell he's going to be a frustrating watch, incredibly quick and powerful, can leave a defender for dead, scored two good goals last night, but he's the sort of player that will take two defenders on, couple of step overs work his way into the box then fall over his own feet before shooting.

I've been impressed so far, if only our keeper wasn't 5ft5 and our defence a leaky mess we'd maybe do alright this season.

And Fylde played well last night, didn't really pepper us with good chances last night but they keep the ball well, knock it around and have players that will do damage in this league, they brought on Kosylo and Yeates in the second half, Yeates is about 58 and just strolled around doing what he wants basically, something will have to go spectacularly wrong for them to not be challenging at the top this season.

Honestly wouldn't care if we go down again. Nothing this club does anymore could make me any more fucking depressed. Beating chesterfield is like kicking an old homeless drunk guy on the street
Welcome to OUR world. Now grow some balls, put your shoulders back and go out there and fucking SMILE. :bdick:

Dunno, didn't notice. Tbf it was probably that first 20 minutes she had a 'mare, wasn't that much else to complain about later on.

I don't know what it is about scoring in front of the Cheadle End that shows up absolute no-marks for what they are when they celebrate, why they get it in their heads to wind up three thousand people I've no idea. Decent finish tbf, I said to my mate Hinchliffe left too much room on the right, can't rely on the wall to stop it (unless they start sitting on each others' shoulders)

When we played you in the FA Cup at Edgeley Park, Lewis Montrose was trying to give it the big one to the Woking fans all game for no apparent reason. He must be a no-mark too.

The Sutton fan laughed himself stupid If I recall when we signed him. EDIT - that was actually chief - eat your words sunshine! But neither Wrexham or Sutton rated him.

He's a good player, skillful, quick and strong but he's down here for a reason - decision making. He'll often pick the wrong option. Last night he got 2 but should've had a couple of assists as well, didn't see others in better positions to shoot, and then he missed one at the near post in the last 5 minutes that someone like Danny Rowe would've notched. Not a criticism as he's done well so far but as Chief Rocka says he's gonna give us kittens this season.

As if any more proof were needed that we have at the helm a guy destined to be one of the Greats, the Gaffer agrees with me- the better team, switched off for a moment because we thought the ref was giving Wrexham a free kick and it cost us the game. Get your arses lubed up for Saturday Aldershot, somebody's gotta pay for this.:bdick:

Completely agree, sometimes you watch him and he frustrates the hell out of you but you get the ball to his feet against the back line and he scares the hell out of them. He can do things not many at this level can. It's just whether he can consistently do it

Probably won't help his consistency when Luke Molyneux gets back as he won't be guaranteed a start then.

Yeah, Rooney didn't need to do that, but no different to Jordan Keane when he scored! Come on, a bit of balance please.

Exciting game down at EP last night. A well deserved win for us, but Barrow put us under a awful lot of pressure late on. On the balance of the game though (particularly the first half) we deserved it.

Ref (Rebecca Welch) and the bald linesman were atrocious!! At one point Jackson crossed it from the left which took a huge deflection off the Barrow right back and Dixon scrambled across desperate to keep the ball in play...….up goes the flag from the linesman.........goal kick! Beggars belief!

Glad to get a first win of the season especially at home. Some superb individual performances but over a wonderful team performance. We go onto Eastleigh at home on Saturday looking to follow up with another positive result.

we beat Eastleigh last Saturday - they were nothing special - play like you did last night and you'll get the 3 points again

We got a right drubbing last night, Solihull were extremely efficient, quick direct and put away their chances, helped by the worst keeper(Anyon) we could possibly have, please hurry back Matt Urwin. We had chances and could have scored 3. No doubt Solihull will be there or thereabouts this season.

i would class him as a slightly better Fondop

I was disappointed when our then manager dithered on offering him a contract, and he has gone on to prove he can score at this level

The faces may have changed, but it was the same old, same old, at the Rec last night.”Toothless lightweights run into brick shit-houses” shock-horror.
Perfect away performance from Bromley, intimidating, organised, street-wise, in the ref’s face- all the stuff that the Shots can’t do. It ain’t pretty, but its the way to go, it seems.
The bookies have got it right, as usual. a season of struggle could lie ahead.

How was Regan Booty for you last season? He put a MotM performance in for us last night. Likely to carry on like that?

Came to us with rave reviews, did well initially, got injured and was never the same. Not over- keen on the heavy physical. Good long passing, don’t remember much shooting. Not sorry to see him go.
