Yeah I get it, didnt for one second think we would have a shot at going up, but as i said in about May. Salford coming up, lets just see them through the division, its going to annoy a big club who should save their money and write this season off instead of bothering to compete with them.
But its a funny old game or whatever Greavsey said. There is still alot to play for and whomever is in the play offs has every chance, so still half the division with a shot of going up.
That said I would probably bet on Orient and Salford to be the two.

Moving back on topic....

Living in Manchester and having a rare afternoon free, I went to watch Salford vs Gateshead. I've seen Salford play a couple of times this season but was very impressed with Gateshead. Very capable, organised side who like to keep the ball on the floor but were also excellent defensively, Mike Williamson (Ex-Newcastle) was pure class who kept encouraging the younger players... hope they push for a play-off spot.

Gateshead were by far the best team I've seen play Salford this season who struggled without Rooney and Whitehead .

Agree with the comment on Danny Lloyd, far to lightweight and ineffective, everytime I have watched Salford, I have questioned what on earth they saw in him and only ever seen him score pens. Interesting to hear Graham Alexander continuously have to shout to make sure he stayed in position and didn't give away needless freekicks.

So, out of interest, out of the non 'brotherhood clubs' is there any team up there who people here dont hate and wouldnt mind seeing get promoted?

Sure, Chorley FC- their rise from the Unibond North is entirely on the back of their fan base. We first encountered them in that League and at that time they were getting 150 to 200 at home. It was when Chester entered that league and a fierce local rivalry ensued, that kick started a surge in support. Last time they came to The Shay they brought 2000 and helped make the National North Promotion Final more like a Champions League match. When they come up at the end of this season, they DESERVE to be here and will have done it the right way, a way that is worthy of real RESPECT. They will get it from me.

Thanks for asking. :ds:

Well ta for the welcome from some of you. Why is that its all the massive ex football league clubs who talk us down and abuse us. Clubs like Fylde and us, we're ambitious and upcoming and you'll still be down here. Anyway this is a hard league and despite the cash we spent on a few players we dont get it all our way. I think it might go to the last day. Will be a good battle but to be honest I hope its two of the new boys who go up. Solihull us, Fylde, Ebbsfleet. Be good to get new blood in the league rather than seeing the same tired old names on final score every saturday

We're not new boys, let's just get that straight.
