Hartlepool v Chesterfield

The 2 most important matches are probably at Fylde and Hartlepool;- will either of Sheridan or Hughes still be in a job if they lose

We have an impressive record against Dagenham & Redbridge at GGL, winning pretty much every game we’ve ever played against them at home. Under no illusions that tonight will be tough, but if anything Saturdays win has been a massive morale boost. Fingers crossed we can build on that

Been very surprised at Ebsfleet’s start to the season. Got some very good individuals and whilst I know they’ve been shocking as a team this season, if they click like they were last season then they’re a strong force. Need to be careful.

Our unbeaten run will end tonight. Gerring suspended, Johnson snapped in half on Saturday and neither of our strikers will be risked on Bromley's poxy plastic pitch due to injuries.

Can't wait to watch a horrible game on a shiny plastic cancer carpet. These things need to be banned from any serious level of football.

Tough game for us at Boreham Wood, who suddenly seem to be in form. Just as we were starting to look promising, we’ve had our spine ripped out by injuries and suspension. We still have a decent attacking line up though, so I hope we don’t try and contain BH but have a go. I’d take a point.

Think if we get beat then Sheridan goes. I'm going as well - no idea why.

For future reference:

Please, don't ever talk like this about a Tin Potter, it encourages them to think we regard them as being in any way our equals.

Thanks.

I'm expecting a tough game at Chorley tonight. Can't remember the last time we won four league games in a row, and they have ex-Barrow players that will likely raise their game against us.

Defeat there in the cup last season really fucked us over for weeks, and they'll be keen to do the same again. Can see it being 1-0 to Chorley.

After Saturday tonight is pretty much make or break for our season, hopefully the fans and players come together and we get through this, no Featherstone or Donaldson though, both suspended, we played alright Saturday before the ref had a mental breakdown and were good for a point, hopefully more of the same.

It would be typical Pools though to lose to a team with 1 win all season.

Have Boreham Wood got one of those special pitches? And does that mean it can rain as much as it wants and we will have football?

Grass at BW.
The away end is uncovered.
When we lost there the other week they had a good front 3 but not so good at the back.

The reaction of the club has been top class since Saturday, which was never in doubt. Two people arrested, club willing to accept FA charges. Fans sending letters and cards to the black players at the training ground supporting them. Our 5 black players initially didn't want to represent the club ever again but they're now carrying on. We are not a nasty club as some over privileged home counties tosspots on here have been saying. We have some idiots who attend home games and they won't be able to show their faces and air their views in the ground again. And while I'm not at the game tonight, I'll be downloading the placard from the Pools site and sharing on social media as the club has asked to show our solidarity with everyone else who goes.

This game needs the fans to show that we are a good club and a welcoming town (which in general it very much is) to go some small way to lifting the dark shadow over us. Obviously, we need to win tonight but football more than anything needs to win and it is the fans' and players' responsibilities to ensure it does.

Expecting a tight game tonight, we do seem to be learning now but desperately need to turn the draws into wins. No doubt the Newbys will be up for it though doubt both will start, we may have a couple of additions to the squad today. Really hoping for the 3 points.

Hoping to make it 6 wins in a row tonight but it won't be easy at Aldershot. We once again will probably have to make changes due to injuries, two players broke their nose on Saturday. Adam Smith will probably make his debut in goal after signing yesterday. 5 keepers in 12 games isn't good.

Confident tonight, an eye being kept on Woking v Bromley and the right result will see us go back to the top

Head says a similar result too - a result that will be enjoyed by the familiar faces in Barrow.

We play on the floor so it shouldn’t matter too much on the surface, Sutton is a ground I hate visiting awful views around all side on the two step flat terracing. No doubt our fans will get wet too.

8 unbeaten we should be confident of getting some sort of result, would take a draw and follow up with a home win against Chorley Saturday.

There's also Carver and Almond (if they're likely to play) who seem to relish playing against us since their loan spells here - Almond in particular always seems to step it up.

We're also missing our linchpin Jason Taylor and don't really have an adequate replacement at defensive midfield.

Despite the pessimism and the rain, I'm looking forward to it.

We have actually played BW before in the FA Cup 2-2 at their place. I think a point is a good one considering 4 of our central players in midfield and defense are injured or suspended.

Ardley is running out of excuses though and simply heading back into the loan market is just making him look silly when it was him that complained about the squad being too large when he took over. We are quickly heading that way again.
If Bird, Osborne and Tootle dont get near tonight's match there is something seriously wrong.

Unfortunately Louis Almond has not played a minutes football yet this season and will be out for a few more weeks yet. Carver will be at it full bore as always.

Taylor will be a miss for us today and i'm not sure who will replace him in the team - they may bring Waddington straight into the team, or put Hardcastle in. Waddington has more of a physical presence so he'd be my guess/
As for the result - it could be anything, It will probably be close;- either a draw or 1 goal either way. If we were to win then lump on at 5/1 with Bet Victor on us making the play offs or 13/8 for a top half finish.

Away to a good side (despite position) we have never scored a single goal against in 5 matches. With a side that has downed tools for the manager and we've got our main keeper and main striker out injured?

Fylde are EVENS to win this match which is still the bet of the night IMO.
