The fans have had every bit of life sucked out of them possible. The protests, boycotts, etc were done whilst we were in the FL.
The ones left in the ground are the ones who wouldn’t say boo to a goose.
Most of us with any sense are staying clear, knowing there is nothing we can do. The chairman hasn’t been to a game for 3 years, he does not care a jot. The club will disappear I feel, that is the only way we get out of this as they refuse to sell. So unless he dies we’re stuck. There is work behind the scenes to prepare for an AFC which pretty much sums up the fans thoughts on the current club. It isn’t chesterfield fc anymore, and it certainly isn’t the club I loved watching over the years.

As a side note, we’ve now played all of the rest of the top six and gone unbeaten. Particularly impressive is the fact that five of those were away from home.

Fylde 1-3 Orient
Wrexham 0-2 Orient

There's only one real club among them.

Rivalry apart we were in the same boat (maybe some of your lot actually now have an idea what it was like for us). The arguments between the fans were numerous, some wanted to support the club and would go, others refused to give the owner 1 penny more. Surely it has to come to a point where they consider selling? You can’t sell something worthless or not in existence.

Giving up is the worst thing you can do, if a leech is sucking your club dry staying away is playing right into their hands, they can do what they want cos there's no opposition voices, sitting at home and grumbling about your shambles of a club doesn't help one bit, your voice is easily ignored you have to go and be vocal, protest, force change, disrupt games, it got to the point with our crooked ex chairman Gary Coxall that he turned up to what would be his last game in power with a bodyguard shadowing him all afternoon.

Chesterfield will be fine, this league is the absolute pits and they'll turn it around, they've only won three times this season and have only just found themselves in the bottom four, twenty odd games in, any other league and you'd be rock bottom.

Allen is very much on thin ice now surely at Chesterfield.

Bates at Hartlepool as well now, 5 losses in a row including one against a Dover side who will more than likely go down.

He doesn’t care and nobody knows what the end game is.

The successful corporate and hospitality side of the business is separated from the football club and continues to turn a profit. He owns the ground and the land it sits on after negotiating a deal with the council. The crux of it he probably doesn’t need a football club st the ground for it to be a profitable business. The assets are his trump card.

Those he has left to run the club, as you will know from our shambles thread, have free reign to do as they please. And that they have done.

Martin allen is a Dave Allen’s man and he has told us he doesn’t do failure. Sacking Allen would be Dave Allen admitting he had failed. He is a stubborn old man who just won’t do that. The only way I see ya getting out of this is him croaking it, or one of the current birds cronies doing a deal to get the club on the cheap, no questions asked about our questionable off the field antics over the last 3 years.

There are many in our board convinced the only way we get out of this is by Allen during, or Allen killing the club. Start again, back in the hands of the fans is certainly an option some are looking at.

That’s pretty much where we are at now. To conquer the board have managed to divide the fans who are at each other’s throat. Those boycotting falling out with those going, those blaming Martin Allen not seeing the bigger picture falling out with those still focussed on the main issue - Dave Allen and Ashley Carson. Then there is those burying heads hoping it will all blow away whilst we free fall into oblivion. Some will remember Darren Brown in 2000 nearly killing us, that was different, we had a way out then and the fans fought and saved the club. Certainly not that opportunity for the fans to get involved and save the club this time.

It is quite a weird atmosphere, the place is soulless on a match day. The whole life has been drained out of the club.

Delighted and surprised to see Barrow 2-0 up away at Aldershot - it's been a dreadful run that's turned a lot of 'fans' on the players and manager, so we were desperate for a win. I hope it's more a case of us playing well than Aldershot being shit.

A lot of both; I was surprised by Barrow,and quite impressed.In the first half,they played a very high line,and really went for it,and were rewarded with a very well-worked goal.2nd half, dropped back 10 yards and defended well. Shots were pathetic,one or two players excepted; slightly better 2nd half,but no noticeable goal threat.
Away to Orient on Tuesday. ...Nothing in this team to inspire any confidence. Nailed on home win,could be deeply embarrassing.

We said the same when we signed Mullins from Maidstone. 3 games and he’s been banished to the reserves. Jay Saunders deserves to never work again after signing the 2 of them to lead Maidstone’s Line this season. Mind you, your manager keeps playing Quigley which is a bit worrying.

Saunders is now assistant manager at Bromley, so we're all convinced it was him who talked Bromley into signing him. No surprise really considering he always had his favourites at Maidstone who would continue playing yet most of the fan base could see were fucking useless.

Still shocked we managed to offload Mullings & Quigley.....I thought we would be stuck with them 2 for the season. Both will go down as some of the worse forwards I have seen play for Maidstone.

Have to say I’m really surprised and impressed by Orient, the state they were in when they went down I thought it would take them a good few seasons being shite in non league before recovering, but to have their shit in order this quickly is pretty remarkable, fair fucking play.
