It begins to hurt my brain when a match thread isn't up by Thursday. So here's my effort.

Notts are hoping to smash the National League record attendance for a standard league fixture on Saturday as we welcome Fylde to Meadow Lane.
Advance tickets of £3 are available until midnight on Friday for both sets of fans. The previous record was set by Bristol Rovers I believe which was 11,000 odd.
As far as team we don't seem to have any of the 5 unavailable from Tuesday returning so gowd knows what NA will do. 3 points for Notts here would go very nicely but we don't do back-to-back wins so, yeah.

Match of the day must be Yeovil v Bromley as both sides are on a winning run, so I guess both might settle for a point.
That's closely followed by the real match of the day, BT Sport style when Dover take on Halifax
Elsewhere Chesterfield must look to pick up maximum points when they host Aldershot as it could mean losing further ground on the teams just outside the relegation area of which the Shots are one of.
Two others in the form of Wrexham and Ebbsfleet battle it out at the Racecourse, with Dragons hoping to get a win for caretaker manager Brian Flynn

Yeovil v Bromley does look like match of the day and if Bromley lose or draw which is possible they will likely be off top spot when we turn them over next week.
Ebbsfleet were awful last Saturday and i'd fully expect Wrexham to beat them, although I expected Barnet to do that Tuesday and that didn't happen.
Chesterfield simply have to beat Aldershot;- losing at home to them (particularly if they allow Harry the Pan to score) should be an automatic resignation/sacking for Sheridan - Aldershot and Wrexham wins would see Chesterfield 6 points adrift already....
My team, Barrow go for 5 wins on the bounce against Maidenhead and that would fuel the growing belief that we can make the play off's this season. 3-0, 3-0 and 3-1 wins in the last 3 games has really raised the teams confidence.

Eastleigh are another team we've yet to beat down here and there's always plenty of goals, can't see many from us though this time, we've injuries and suspensions galore, misfiring strikers backed up by plodding midfielders, 200 Pools fans watching a 2-0 defeat.

I reckon another draw for us at home to Boreham Wood. It really is all about getting to 50 points for us.

6 away fans will be the norm for them

With 4 of the teams above us playing each other and with us being at home to Chorley we need to take full advantage. 10 unbeaten if we do.

Home to Solihull.

We're looking for a third straight home win but despite their mixed start, Solihull should present us with our toughest test of the season so far at THL.

I think H. Taylor or Adams needs to return to the midfield if we are to stand any chance. Our midfield will otherwise be too weak against what I would expect is a big, strong, physical Solihull side.

I can't say that I am particularly confident but there has got to be a reaction from the players following the shambles at Ebbsfleet. Let's hope so or else our positive start will be well and truly over.

we beat Ebbsfleet (away) 3-0 the match before you played them and beat Solihull (home) by the same score the match before - they were the 2 worst sides we have played this season - worse than Chorley on Tuesday.
Solihill are a big strong team, but passing the ball around them nullifies their strength and wears them out.

Big game for us on Saturday against unbeaten Bromley, should be a decent crowd as well with it being the first home game since the takeover was completed. We're certainly bigging it up on social media with ticket offers and competitions. There's an air of enthusiasm around the place at the moment and I'm actually enjoying being a Yeovil fan for the first time in a long time.

Yeovil seem to have got their act together quicker than most relegated sides. Is this because you didn't re-employ the shite who got you relegated like most sides do ?

Tough game for us, as they all seem to be at the minute. Expect to get beat, anything else is a plus

Big one up at Chesterfield for us tomorrow. Our away form is decent this season, but we’re so unpredictable at the moment - our last 6 games have been WLWLWL.
Surely Chesterfield have to get their act together soon? What’s been going so wrong for them this season, considering they completely turned it around under Sheridan last season?
I’m expecting us to lose 1-0 to a Will Evans header.

If there are any Halifax fans going tomorrow there's a beer festival nearby

https://www.ccmt.org.uk/index.php/11-news/200-cider-ale-festival-2019
Let me think about this:

Go:
Get out of bed at 5am
Leave home at 6am
Drive for 6 hours
Lose
Drive for 6 hours
Arrive home at 11pm
Go to bed.

Don't go:
Get out of bed at 10am
Watch Sheffield Utd v Liverpool
Watch scores on Sky Sports
Pizza
Watch game on BTSports
Lose
Get pissed
Go to bed.

Hmmm. Where can I park? :ds:

I doubt we'll do it tomorrow anyway, £3 or not it's a bit of a meh game and there'll still be next to no away fans to help out. I'd expect about 9,000 probably.

As you say, it's kind of cheating at those prices anyway, but we'll break it if we get in ourselves into the position to have some really big home games at the end of the season.

On the game, it would be nice to get back to back wins for the first time this season. I've seen enough from us to believe we'll push the top seven at least now, but we are still infuriatingly inconsistent (injuries aren't helping with that admittedly).

Agree with that. If we get a six pointer towards the end of the season we're capable of pulling a 12-13000 crowd even with quite small away numbers.
We really need to win this if we're aiming for a play off run. We're hitting Fylde as they 're hitting some form so it could go either way.

Pretty much. We’ve tended to promote within or go back to someone we knew previously (Gary Johnson), getting a manager with no previous history with Yeovil was exactly what we needed. In terms of players we pretty much released everyone, but that was more down to the fact our chairman was effectively our manager for 2 months while we were seemingly falling apart. This start is a surprise to us all.

I watched you play Barrow on the tele and I'm amazed at your turn round in form from that performance. Seems like that was rock bottom and it's been upwards ever since As you were pretty awful that day.
Fair play to Daryl Surll he's turned your fortunes round very quickly.

Signing Hammill from Scunny sounds like a massive coup. Presume he'll start on the right vs. Torquay, it's a bit odd because Gannon's been sounding quite ruthless in his criticism of some (unnamed) players this week after four defeats on the trot, but I wouldn't have thought our normal right-winter Adam Thomas would be amongst those, he was the stand-out performer the first few games. (Admittedly I didn't go to our last three aways)

Still, I don't see results picking up any time soon while we still make do with makeshift LB and CH

Every clip I’ve seen of Hammill has him cutting in from the left so maybe he’ll replace Leesley who’s initial loan will end shortly.

One day we'll get our skipper and holding midfielder back and abnormal service will be resumed. :bdick:

Liam Noble has seemingly had a classic fall out with another manager, dropped completely today.

Some debate among fans on our club commentary that this current side could hold its own in the FL if everyone was fit :ffs:

Struggling to think who'd make the step up. Kioso, Hawkes in time, Cunningham again in time. Molyneux would be a league player but he hasn't played this season yet. The rest? Err ok, good debate, that.

I’ve seen 36 minutes of Alfie Pavey upfront and I’m wondering if Dover will offer a refund.

Play stopped after 2 minutes, Bromley keeper stretchered off 20 minutes later with no sub goalie so an outfielder in goal for 88 minutes. 3 minutes later they score. We're playing shite. Bugger.
